The DioField Chronicle offers up a new and intense strategy RPG that features the latest technology, Real-Time Tactical Battle. Players must think on their feet to stay ahead of the enemy. Quick-witted decisions and effective use of the characters' skills and classes will ensure a swift victory. The game also brings to life a compelling storyline that keeps the action moving, drawing players in and not letting go.

In The DioField Chronicle, players spend a lot of time building up party members by unlocking new skills and weapons. Players can participate in side quests between missions, which offer excellent rewards. They will get everything from new party members to new items in the shop that will be essential to building up their characters. While many consider side quests to be overrated, quite a few are simply not to be missed.

8 Coin For Comrades

Andrias Rhondarson in The DioField Chronicle

One of the essential things in The DioField Chronicle is advancing the characters through items and weapons available in the shop. When players first start out, options are limited on this front, which isn't so bad because money is short, too. However, as the game progresses and characters become stronger, they will quickly outgrow the items available. That's where this side quest comes in.

In Chapter 1, players will speak to a mercenary who wants to raise money for the cause, which ends up being 1,500 G. This amount is pretty steep for this early in the game, so players may have to come back once they have raised the money. However, they will be richly rewarded with Shop Rank Up (1), unlocking new items and weapons in the shop.

7 Experience Over Training

Lorraine Luckshaw in The DioField Chronicle

In Chapter 2, players can initiate this side quest by speaking to Rickenback to agree to go on a hunt. Immediately after, they will need to speak to Lorraine. The facility needs to be upgraded for 1,500 G, allowing the hunt to occur. Note that Lorraine has several side quests, and players may need to go through several to activate this one.

Once the payment is made, players will receive Shop Rank Up (2). This reward means the party will gain 5% more money on missions. For players struggling to find the funds to pay Lorraine, plenty of easy quests are available that offer monetary rewards for little input.

6 Business Is Blooming

Shivat Malzin in The Diofield Chronicle

This side quest occurs at the start of Chapter 3 during the "Hand of Salvation" quest. Players need to speak with Shivat, who will request funds to help set up trade with a local merchant. The requested amount is 2,500 G.

While the amount is a bit steep, players will be rewarded with Shop Rank Up (3). With more items available in the shop, characters can be better outfitted and more prepared for battle.

5 An Unexpected Opportunity

Inside the weapons shop in The DioField Chronicle

At the start of Chapter 4, there is a soldier that players will need to speak to. He's going to ask for funds, which are rather steep at 10,000 G. Depending on the strategy players have used, this should be no problem by this point in the game.

Repeating quests is an excellent method of filling the coffers for players who haven't saved up enough money. The reward for providing the requested funds is Shop Rank Up (4), which gives the party a 5% increase on Gold collected per mission.

4 Trust Earned Through Action

Tremina Umbert in The DioField Chronicle

Players must speak to Tremina at the beginning of Chapter 5 to initiate this side quest. She will suggest doing a mission for the merchants in exchange for better weapons. To complete this side quest, the party will have to fight through three waves of enemies, including a Coeurl.

The reward for this quest is Shop Rank Up (5), the ultimate unlock of items in the shop. While often expensive, many of the new accessories come with special features that are must-haves for success in battle.

3 A Shield For The People

Donovar Sullion in The DioField Chronicle

This side quest is exceptionally straightforward. Speaking to Lorraine in Chapter 2 at the beginning of "Harbinger of Discord" will unlock another quest, "Mission: A Job in the North," and net players 1,000 G. Additionally, it will unlock a new optional character that players can easily miss, because he is not listed as a reward.

Donovar Sullion is a member of the Soldier Class and once belonged to the royal guard. There are two character quests for him in Chapters 3 and 4 that will bring in 2,000 G and 5,000 G, respectively. He features strong abilities, such as Attack Boost and Enhanced Aggressive Healing. Players will not want to miss this sub quest as he makes a great addition to the team.

2 A Warrior Gets His Wings

Zoruaq Wigan in The DioField Chronicle

By speaking to Catherine in Chapter 4 while the "Winged Mercenary" quest is active, players can activate this side quest. This conversation will result in players receiving 5,000 G, access to a new quest, and a new character. Because this quest is so easy to overlook, players may battle their way through the game and never collect this optional party member.

Zoruaq Wigan is a Cavalier Class member and a mercenary legend. In Chapters 5 and 6, there are character quests for him that offer 10,000 G each as the reward. His best abilities include Critical Rate Boost and Enhanced Auto Attack & Weakness. A key offensive character, Zoruaq is a must-have for any effective team.

1 Give To Those Who Reach Out

Chappleman in The DioField Chronicle

When Chapter 6 begins, players will want to find Chappleman and speak to him. He's a new character in the game and should be easily identifiable. This conversation rewards players with a new quest, 10,000 G, and an optional new character.

Chappleman is a member of the Cavalier Class and is a skilled wyvern rider. His best abilities include Enhanced Auto-Attack & Wither and Fast-Hitter. In Chapter 6, he has two character quests that will net players 10,000 G apiece. As a versatile offensive character, Chappleman is essential for the most powerful party combinations.
