Digimon Tamers is a popular anime that dates back to August 2001 and an upcoming event will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show. The event will feature characters from the popular anime alongside over a dozen voice actors from Digimon Tamers.

Digimon Tamers is celebrating its 20th anniversary with Digifest 2021 at the Yokosuka Arts Theater. Digimon Tamers is the third season of Digimon for fans of the series in the west and it features characters such as Makato and Veemon. The event will take place in Honcho, Yokosuka City on August 1 at 5:30, but fans outside of Japan can also celebrate through Digifest Online. Both the live event and the livestream will feature several voices from the Digimon Tamers anime such as Makoto Tsumura and Arthur Lounsbery.

Tickets for the Digifest 2021 celebration go on sale on July 17 and are limited to two per person. Tickets are going for around 11,000 yen each and will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Digifest Online will coincide with the live event so that fans of the Digimon anime who can't make it to the venue can celebrate alongside Japanese fans of the classic anime. Live distribution for the Digifest Online tickets has already begun and the digital tickets will only cost around 4,400 yen. There will be additional fees such as a ticket fee and others based on region.

The Digifest Online livestream will start at the same time as the live Digifest event. Digimon fans will have to make an account on Eplus and possibly Streaming+ as well in order to watch the livestream on August 1. Digifest Online tickets will be on sale until the day of the event, while the tickets to the live Digifest 2021 event are expected to sell out and there is no deadline to purchase them by. The event, just like its main image, will celebrate the Digimon Tamers characters' visuals with a marine style and they will be breaking the fourth wall during the event.

The Digimon Tamers characters will presumably be featured in a short animation during the Digifest 2021 event as some of the details claim that the characters are aware of the real-world location where the live event will be taking place, Yokosuka. It's currently unclear if the live event will include any big announcements for Digimon fans to look forward to, but fans of this season of Digimon may want to celebrate the anniversary through Digifest Online if they can't attend in person.
