Digimon Survive places a lot of emphasis on choice, with the decisions that players make often having a huge impact on the game's narrative. In Part 5, they'll be faced with multiple decisions, starting with whether to agree with Shuuji or Minoru about taking Haru and Miyuki down into the underground waterways. Not long after making their choice, players will be faced with another series of decisions.

Upon their arrival at the underground waterway, Takuma and the rest of the group will find themselves surrounded by a mysterious fog which ultimately renders them unconscious. When Takuma awakes, he finds himself all alone and so sets out to track down his missing friends. Eventually, he runs into Agumon, but not everything is quite as it seems. Digimon Survive players will soon find themselves faced with two of the partner Digimon and must figure out which of the pair is the real Agumon.

After running into the fake Agumon a few times, players will eventually find themselves in a room with two Agumon waiting for them. They'll then be asked to choose which is the real Agumon, with very few clues given. Thankfully, however, by analyzing the way that the two Digimon talk and making use of Takuma's hint that one of the Agumon seems a little dark, players should be able to tell that the real Agumon is the one on the right.

After finding the real Agumon, players will need to fight Seadramon, after which they'll find themselves back down in the tunnels. There, they'll run into Aoi, who, like Takuma, is being manipulated by a fake partner Digimon. Eventually, players will again find themselves faced with two seemingly identical Digimon and asked to choose which is the real Labramon. By pointing out that Labramon loves Aoi to bits though, they'll be able to deduce that the real Labramon is the one on the right.

Once Seadramon flees, players will run into Saki, who's a little upset about some hurtful comments from a Floramon fake. When they eventually find themselves face to face with the fake and the real version, they should tell Saki that the real Floramon would forgive secrets, which will make it pretty obvious that the real Floramon is the one on the left. This triggers another Seadromon battle, after which, it's back down into the tunnels.

The next person that Takuma runs into is Miu, who is upset that Syakomon called her a loner. Of course, this was another fake, and, after navigating the tunnels, players will soon find themselves in a position where they must choose the real Syakomon. Initially, it appears that pointing out that the real Syakomon wouldn't call Miu a loner is a bust as both the fake and the real one agree, but the former soon shows its true colors, making it very easy for players to figure out that the real Syakomon is the one on the left.

Thankfully, players don't have to go through this laborious process with the other three missing group members. They'll run into Minoru and the real Falcomon almost immediately after identifying the real Syakomon and Kaito and Dracmon will rush in to help out in the resulting fight. The last person that players will find is Shuuji, though, sadly, he's still just as messed up as he was when they first entered the underground waterway, if not more.
