Digimon Survive is a narrative-focused game with four possible story routes players can explore. These are made available based on the player's choices throughout the first 8 chapters, and this guide will explain how to reach each of them. This guide will, by its nature, feature spoilers for the first 8 parts of Digimon Survive.
Digimon Survive is a visual novel/strategy RPG developed by Hyde and published by Bandai Namco. It explores a darker take on the themes of Digimon Adventure, with a group of children being hurled into a dangerous parallel world inhabited by monsters. The group must struggle to survive in this new world with the aid of the strange creatures they befriend.
The Moral Route
The Moral route can only be accessed by having a majority of the player's choices correspond to the "Moral" stat. This stat is associated with Justice, and Vaccine attribute Digimon. Whenever the player is presented with a choice that can affect their karma stats, this option will be the leftmost option and glow faintly red when highlighted. Once the player reaches the end of part 8 and is given the choice to return to the other world, they must select the "Save the World" dialog option to begin this route.
The Harmony Route
The Harmony route requires the majority of the player's choices throughout the first 8 parts to correspond to the "Harmony" stat. This stat is associated with cooperation, and Data attribute Digimon. Whenever the player is presented with a choice that affects their karma stats, this option will be the rightmost option and glow faintly green when highlighted. On reaching the end of part 8 and being presented with the choice to return to the other world, players must choose the "Be True to My Friends" dialog option to begin this route.
The Wrathful Route
The Wrathful route requires the majority of choices made during the first 9 parts to correspond to the "Wrathful" stat. This stat is associated with achieving the objective no matter what, and Virus attribute Digimon.
Whenever the player is presented with a choice that can affect their karma stats, the Wrathful option will be the top option and glow faintly yellow when highlighted. Once the player reaches the end of part 8 and is given the choice to return to the other world, they must select the "Stay with Agumon" dialog option to begin this route.
The Truthful Route (New Game + Only)
The Truthful route is unique in that it is completely inaccessible during the first playthrough of the game, requiring players to achieve one of the other endings and enter New Game + before it can be accessed. Players hoping to reach this route must first make two key changes during the first 8 parts. They must prevent the deaths of Ryo and Shuuji.
This is accomplished by building up affinity with them so that they are able to begin overcoming the issues that led to their deaths in the first playthrough (roughly 30 affinity with Ryo and Shuuji should be sufficient). If this is achieved, then any choice that leads to returning to the other world during part 8 will lead to the Truthful route instead of the route it would usually lead to.
