Players can get through Diablo Immortal and enjoy the experience free of charge. What follows after taking out the final boss and hitting the max level can be less intriguing than the journey to get there. It's something that every video game with an endgame must contend with.

Players who are enjoying the endgame of Diablo Immortal shouldn't take this list as a reason to make them quit. If anything, these are suggestions that would make the game even more fun than it currently is. For others who aren't enjoying the experience, taking care of a few of these issues could bring them back home.

10 Get Rid Of The Soft Paragon Cap

Diablo Immortal Necromancer In The Character Selection Screen

If gamers hate anything, it's artificial caps. Just see how Anthem gamers responded to these superficial means of forcing more hours of gameplay to try and compensate for the lack of content. Sadly, Diablo Immortal has attempted something very similar for its endgame.

Paragon leveling, after a certain point, has been soft capped. Changing the difficulty to take on the toughest challenges is not enough to battle through this reduction in experience. It's a shallow way to get players to do the same, boring content for longer periods of time.

9 Refocus On Customization

Diablo Immortal Upgrading A Neromancer's Equipment

Players will be offered immediate opportunities to change their character's appearance with equipment. These are optional, paid prices. For as much (justifiable) backlash the game is receiving for its extreme monetization, there are relatively few outfits.

Cosmetics are a huge part of the endgame, look at Team Fortress 2 or Fortnite. Show some passion by adding lots of new outfits, some free, some unlocked, and others via payment. Considering the financial incentive to do so, this should be rectified quickly.

8 Don't Let Bosses Glitch

Diablo Immortal Boss Fight With The Countess

During the first weekly raid boss, gamers were having problems with the rocks not spawning to get behind during the attack that instantly killed those who were not behind rocks. Thanks to exploits, certain abilities, or players that leveled up quickly, some players still carried a group through this triumph.

That is a very poor look for the first raid boss in the game. Yes, they need to have lots of mechanics to keep the fight interesting enough to come back to. But they need to be sound and polished. Nobody is going to come back to a broken battle on a weekly basis, it's insulting.

7 Boot The PvP Cheaters

Diablo Immortal Joining A Battleground For The First Time

Just ask the developers of ABP how much tolerance the community has for cheaters in PvP. On day one, cheaters were dominating the battlegrounds. There are players of immense skill who can beat better-geared players with raw talent.

However, cheating prevents these industry veterans from succeeding. Given that there are hundreds of PvP games to play that have tackled the cheating problem, this is not an issue that can continue if the PvP, or the game itself, is to survive.

6 Create Visual And Audible Distinctiveness

Diablo Immortal Feint Image Of A Dark Curse On The Ground

Players in the early game won't have an issue with spells and abilities looking distinct. While farming the best locations in each zone, players will have only a handful of others in the entire region, so it's not like players are getting tangled up on whose skeleton is whose or which area of effect spell is on the mob.

In the endgame rifting, raiding, and battlegrounds, this is certainly not the case. The screen is filled with particles and colors that the human eye can't discern. Bosses disappear in a cloud of melee units, preventing anyone from realistically seeing what is going on.

5 Add More Variety To Locations

Diablo Immortal Generic Crossroads And Lamppost

Art has been an important part of the Diablo franchise and it's still done very well, even for a mobile-first game. The problem is that there are only so many times a worn-down sign by a dirt road looks top-notch. Given that bounties force the player into the world often, this can create visual boredom.

The map of the continent could use a portal to hell or heaven in there. Playing with friends can help create some joy, but the world needs to deliver more variety and make a couple of areas that have a bit more personality and distinctiveness.

4 Introduce More Classic Characters

Diablo Immortal Speaking To Kashya About Cain And Charsi

Making a game in between the events of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 gave the developers a chance to bring back many of the characters that were lost or forgotten by the sequel. They took advantage of this on a few occasions, with conversations with Deckard Cain and Charsi.

But this was not the extent of the cast in Diablo 2. Tyrael only has a brief speaking role in a cutscene. Meeting Xul was a nice touch, but what about Sonya or Johanna? If the world makes time for clearing cobwebs, it has time to bring back fan favorites.

3 Improve The Time To Reward Ratio

Diablo Immortal Unlocking Chests After The Forgotten Tower

The Diablo endgame has always been one of improvement. Regardless of where the character stands on the class tier list, it can get better with consistent gaming and lucky drops. That is still present here, but the ratio is severely out of balance.

Players can easily play for an entire day and not get a single piece of loot, single gem, or level up their paragon rank a single time. This translates to a truly wasted day, where the class is literally no better at the end than at the start.

2 More Enemy Variety

Diablo Immortal Using A Shield Wall To Block The Bloodsworn

There are special instances and cursed chests that provoke "special" enemies that are nothing more than stronger versions of already-existing opponents. That doesn't feel very special. Finding and slaying Officer Hagan should feel epic, but he's really just a shield-bearer with more health and two random skills given to any elite mob.

The random skills help, but they don't satisfy enough. Fighting an imp, worm, or cultist doesn't feel substantial enough. They're going to approach the player and try to attack. When leveling, that's fine, the visual design is enough. After about twenty hours into the game, it gets stale.

1 Stop Being Greedy

Diablo immortal Buying Five Star Gems On The Market

This is the point with the most priority. With good luck, it was originally estimated that the game will take over ten years or $110,000 to fully gear up. Since then, these estimations have actually increased in duration and price. That's simply unreasonable.

Appealing to the whales is a great business model for games that don't crave long-term success or a substantial player base. This was hyped up as a Diablo game, not a mobile game with Diablo influences. The predatory behavior and shameful pricing need a serious overhaul before any responsible gamer can be excited about the endgame.

Diablo Immortal is available now for mobile and PC.
