Fans had big expectations from this year's BlizzCon presentation, and it appears that Blizzard intends to meet them. The company opened up the show with an apology from J. Allen Brack and then dove straight into Diablo 4, showing a brand new gameplay trailer.

The trailer gives players a look at three of the classes that will be present in the game, and it features a few stellar looking enemies. From the trailer, it appears that Diablo 4 will return the franchise to the form that many players had been hoping for after the disastrous announcement of Diablo Immortal last year. The world appears to be wonderfully detailed, with enemies that have the same gothic look that fans know and love. It'll be interesting to see what other major new updates are revealed leading up to the game's launch.

The trailer isn't an extended look at the game, but it at least gives fans an idea of what they can expect when the game releases. No release date has been announced quite yet, but it's still nice to get official confirmation that Diablo 4 is happening, even if there were plenty of Diablo 4 leaks leading up to the announcement. Still, the new updates look incredibly promising. The Diablo franchise has been around for decades, and it's great to see the franchise come this far since its inception - even if there have been some stumbles along the way.

It'll be interesting to see how well Diablo 4's launch goes whenever it finally makes it out into the wild. Blizzard has had some growing pains with the franchise in the past, but it appears that the company has largely begun to learn its lesson. Regardless, Diablo 4 should get fans excited for the future of Blizzard. Hopefully, the company will be able to deliver a product that meets, or exceeds, fans' massive expectations for the franchise. Now fans just have the long process of anxiously awaiting the game's release. With any luck, the game will be available for all sooner rather than later.

Diablo 4 is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
