Diablo 4 just released a new piece of merchandise that might hold a hint of a sixth class coming to the game in the future. If this clue is correct, Diablo 4’s sixth class might be an unexpected new addition to the franchise’s cast.

The Blizzard Gear Store recently added a Diablo 4-themed stein to the site for pre-order. The sleek collector’s item is emblazoned with iconography from Sanctuary, including the logo and images of Lilith and Inarius–two major characters from Diablo 4.

However, when YouTube content creator and Diablo fan Dark LORE Dash took a closer look at the stein, he noticed something peculiar. The lid of this collector’s stein is emblazoned with six symbols around its edge. Five of these symbols match the current playable classes in Diablo 4. The sixth symbol represents the Triune–the cult formerly dedicated to the Prime Evils, and now responsible for the return of Lilith. This could be a clue that a sixth class themed around the Triune could be coming in the future, such as a Warlock or a Death Knight.

There has been a lot of speculation that the Paladin or Templar classes from past games would be coming to Diablo 4 later on. The current playable classes in Diablo 4 lack a heavily-armored option, as well as a holy magic wielder. While a Paladin or Templar would fill both of these archetypes, a Death Knight or Hell Knight would be an unexpected addition that would fill the armored archetype, introduce an original class, and better fit the darker tone of Diablo 4.

The hint found on the new stein is by no means confirmation such a class is coming to Diablo 4 in the future. There has not been any official confirmation yet, and there likely won’t be for some time after the game’s launch. However, the Triune symbol’s placement is suspiciously when paired with the other classes, and as Dash explained, Diablo 4 has hidden secrets in merchandise in the past, such as the Church of Light's symbol revealed in the pre-Diablo 4 badge series.

Many players are intrigued by the concept of an evil knight in Diablo 4. Paladins and Templars are some of the most popular classes in Diablo’s history, so a dark take on the archetype would be exciting. Many have speculated what would lead these characters to take a stand against Lilith and the forces of Hell. Until Diablo 4 officially reveals a sixth class, players will have to keep guesses on what powers might be unleashed in the game next.

Diablo 4 releases on June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
