Blizzard has recently explained the reason behind what initially looked like a bug that affected some Diablo 4 players regarding the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. Players earned this reward during the Diablo 4 Server Slam event as one of many available rewards.

The Diablo 4 Server Slam was an event that gave some fabulous rewards for players participating in it. Tackling this challenge was no easy endeavor for players. However, after leveling up to Level 20 and taking down Ashava, they were able to claim the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. During the game's release in early access, several players issued bug reports to Activision Blizzard, stating that they were missing the coveted award after beating the fight. This issue also seemed to permeate across the community, making players wonder why they couldn't get the reward for leveling up and defeating Ashava.

After some bug reports were sent, the Diablo 4 community lead Adam Fletcher responded to them through a forum post that clarified a few things regarding the Cry of Ashava trophy. Unfortunately, the trophy was a limited reward exclusive to users who defeated Ashava at Level 20 during the Diablo 4 server slam. In other words, players that killed the boss before or after the event could not claim the reward even if they met the requirements. This also applies to Early Access players that defeated Ashava before the server slam but weren't present during the event. Fletcher also stated, "Being below 20 during the May test and killing Ashava does not grant the trophy. Killing Ashava in March at any level, including 20+, does not grant the trophy."

Despite the clarification, Fletcher's post has been met with replies from players that were part of the Diablo 4 server slam and successfully met the requirements but didn't receive the reward. One of the Blizzard forum users stated that they leveled their rogue to level 20 and defeated the boss as their friends watched the events during the server slam but also failed to receive the trophy. Another user named Nei also pointed out that Activision Blizzard stated before that meeting the requirements during previous Diablo 4 betas would give players access to the Cry of Ashava mount trophy.

It's still not clear whether the issue involving the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy is happening due to a legitimate bug or due to players failing to meet the requirements and being present during the Server Slam. This could be another issue found within Diablo 4 that Activision Blizzard will have to address with patches and steadier communication with the players asking about the issue in the forums.

Diablo 4 is available now in early access with its full launch coming June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
