Just about a week ago, Nintendo officially revealed that a Diablo 3 Eternal Collection Switch bundle for the action-RPG will be arriving at GameStop on the release day of the game for the Big N's hybrid mobile system. Not long thereafter, Blizzard Entertainment decided to introduce a Legendary Scavenger Hunt giveaway event for D3 that celebrates the title's arrival on the Switch by rewarding fans with the aforementioned bundle, as well as real-life props inspired by the game.

According to Blizzard's announcement of the event, the publisher and developer promises that clues will be given out regularly through Diablo 3's official Twitter page. Once these clues are deciphered, they should lead one to an online or real world destination, where an item or a QR code can be found. Clicking the online items or scanning the QR codes ought to send one to their Collections page, which will compile all the treasures participants have found. Each item will offer entries into the prize drawing, with rarer items such as Legendaries being worth more entries.

Those who wish to take part in Diablo 3's Legendary Scavenger Hunt giveaway event have a little more than a couple of weeks left to do so, as Blizzard has declared that the contest will officially end at 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on November 9, 2018. According to the publisher and developer, participants should expect to encounter no more than 12 different clues throughout the duration of the event.

Beyond Diablo 3, significant news could be on the horizon regarding the franchise as a whole, as Blizzard has previously teased that it is working on multiple projects for the IP. With this being the case, there's a chance that the publisher and developer might be saving a Diablo-related announcement at BlizzCon 2018. That said, though, the studio has urged fans to measure their expectations when it comes to getting a major announcement at the convention, so we will simply have to wait and find out what Blizzard has in store for the series.

Diablo 3 is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and will launch for Nintendo Switch on November 2, 2018.
