Diablo 3 has been rumored for the Nintendo Switch for months, and while we're still waiting for an official announcement, the game's existence has been leaked, along with some other details.

Earlier today, Forbes published (and then quickly deleted) an article about the Nintendo Switch version of Diablo 3, which will be called Diablo 3: Eternal Collection. It will come with the base game, as well as the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions in addition to all other post-launch content that has been released for Diablo 3.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection will retail for $59.99, which may seem kind of steep for a game that is over six years old at this point, but the Eternal Collection will also have some exclusive content for players to sink their teeth into. As it turns out, the Nintendo Switch version of Diablo 3 will apparently come with some exclusive items themed after The Legend of Zelda, including a Ganondorf armor set, a Tri-Force portrait frame, a cucco pet, and more.

Furthermore, the deleted article also reveals that Diablo 3: Eternal Collection will support multiple play styles on the Switch. It's possible to play 4-player local co-op on a single console, and players can also use four different Switches to play the game together with no Internet connection required. Online co-op is supported as well of course, though players will have to subscribe to the Nintendo Switch online service to access it.

Overall, Diablo 3 coming to the Switch isn't that big of a surprise. As previously stated, rumors have been circulating for months that a Switch version has been in the works, and Blizzard itself has teased that it has multiple Diablo projects in development. Presumably one of those projects is Diablo 4, and the rest are ports and remakes of older games in the series, or maybe even original spinoff games.

And while Diablo 3: Eternal Collection seems like a sure-thing after this leak, it's still best to take this information with a grain of salt until Blizzard or Nintendo make an official announcement.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection is rumored to be releasing later this year for the Nintendo Switch.
