Diablo 2: Resurrected might have a shiny new gloss of paint and some quality of life improvements, but it's essentially the same game as the original version that was released over 21 years ago. This means puzzle solutions and story locations are the same.

Remaining faithful to the original, Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2: Resurrected is still one of the harder places to find, because its location is actually randomized. Thankfully, there is a simple way to ensure the tomb is found as quickly as possible.

Updated on December 22nd, 2021 by Hodey Johns: As with any game that features randomly generated locations, Diablo 2: Resurrected is brutal when it comes to getting specific directions. The exact location where will change every time and therefore anybody who gives a single location answer to where Tal Rasha's tomb is will be wrong more often than they are right. But there are still general tips that can help with locating the tomb faster. To assist with the search, this guide has been updated with sections that provide tips about where the tomb is, where it isn't, and how to crack it open once it is found.

From Lut Gholein To The Palace Cellar

The path to finding Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2 starts at the Palace, in Lut Gholein. The guard will only permit access after all the pieces to make the Horadric Staff have been collected and transmuted in the Horadric Cube.

The Palace then leads to the Harem. Continue battling through the floors until the Palace Cellar is located. Make sure to find the waypoint at this location to make fast traveling easier if a death occurs. Also, make the most of mercenaries by hiring one at the gates.

Defeating The Summoner

After the waypoint is found, continue searching the area for a blue portal. This will transport players to the Arcane Sanctuary. The location is quite the scenery change from the dank corridors and open plains that have been seen so far. Players can switch to Legacy Mode in Diablo 2: Resurrected here to see just how much the visuals have improved in the remaster. Search the Arcane Sanctuary until The Summoner is found. Defeating him will unlock a red portal that will take players to the area that contains Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2.

Before entering the portal, make sure to read the Summoner's Journal to reveal the location of the true Tal Rasha Tomb. Interacting with every object in a room is just one of many beginners tips for Diablo 2: Resurrected that players should know.

Correct Tal Rasha's Tomb Symbol

After reading the journal, bring up the menu and tab to the Quests screen. Hover over the active quest, and the correct Tal Rasha's Tomb symbol will be displayed in its description. Players should then go through the red portal and into the Canyon of the Magi. Search the sides of the map for the various tombs, and enter the tomb with the same symbol displayed above its entrance as is shown in the quest description.

It's important to note that the correct symbol for Tal Rasha's Tomb is randomized every play session. Players will have to check the journal every time they do this quest to find out what the right symbol to look out for is.

Triggering The Final Boss Fight

Once the tomb has been found, explore it until the Orifice is located. As long as the Horadric Staff is in the inventory, clicking on the prompt will create a doorway that leads to a fight with Duriel, and the end of Act 2. If the staff was forgotten, just use a Scroll or pick up a Tome of Town Portal to return to town and retrieve it.

Diablo 2: Resurrected was released on September 23rd, 2021, and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
