As part of the Khalim's Will and Blackened Temple quests in Diablo 2: Resurrected, players must get to Travincal in Act 3. Here, the High Council can be found and killed and is also where players must transmute Khalim's lost relics into Khalim's Will and use it on the Compelling Orb in the Temple of Light.

Travincal in Diablo 2: Resurrected is also one of the more unique areas in the isometric ARPG, as its layout never changes. The location will always have the same key areas in the same place. This makes it easier to navigate to it on repeat playthroughs.

How to Get to Travincal in Diablo 2

Diablo 2 Resurrected entering travincal by kurast causeway

Travincal is always located by following this route:

  • Spider Forest > Great Marsh > Flayer Jungle > Lower Kurast > Kurast Bazaar > Upper Kurast > Kurast Causeway > Travincal

It's best to travel to the nearest unlocked waypoint to get to Travincal. It's also recommended to wait until both the Khalim's Will and Blackened Temple quests direct players to Travincal in their Quest Log descriptions. This helps ensure players are at an adequate level in Diablo 2: Resurrected to take on the High Council and the enemies beyond the Compelling Orb.

To quickly locate Travincal while in Upper Kurast, head to the northeast corner of the map. This will lead to the short Kurast Causeway bridge, which then leads to Travincal. The final waypoint for Act 3 of Diablo 2: Resurrected is always located in a building to the west. The High Council and Compelling Orb in the Temple of Light are always located in the center of Travincal, easily found by following the main path after entering the area from the Kurast Causeway bridge.

Players should make sure they have transmuted Kahlim's Eye, Khalim's Brain, and Khalim's Heart in the Diablo 2: Resurrected Horadric Cube to make Khalim's Will before heading to Travincal. It can then be used on the Compelling Orb in the Temple of Light in the middle to open up the next area, Durance of Hate, which leads to Mephisto.

It's best to have a decent amount of fire resistance before entering the Durance of Hate, as the Undead enemies ahead deal a large amount of life steal and fire damage with melee and ranged attacks. Equipping 2 Ral Ruins on a helmet or Diablo 2: Resurrected shield with sockets should be enough to deal with them.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
