Fans of the Devil May Cry series have had quite a few surprises recently. Most recently, it was announced that Devil May Cry 5 would be receiving a Special Edition on PS5 where players would finally be able to play as Vergil in a variety of new modes. Now it seems like Devil May Cry fans have one more thing to look forward to thanks to a Capcom TGS announcement.

During its Tokyo Game Show stream, Capcom announced a new half-scale statue of the legendary devil hunter, Dante. Dante looks incredibly life-like in this new statue from Prime 1 Studio, although he is on the short side. Players can see the devil hunter sporting his Devil May Cry 5 look, complete with scraggly facial hair and Rebellion on his back.

This Dante statue is being created by Prime 1 Studio, which has a long history of masterfully crafting life-like statues of many famous pop culture icons from Batman to Ludens, the mascot of Kojima Productions. However, fans of the series might want to brace their wallets if they want to take Dante home. Although Capcom didn't state a price for the statue, statues in this collection usually start around $1100.

This statue seems to be the first of many celebrations for Dante and the Devil May Cry series. Along with this Dante statue and the upcoming Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, there have been some rumors circulating that the legendary devil hunter could make an appearance as the next DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And while this is simply a rumor at this time, even the possibility may be enough for fans of the franchise to get a little excited.

While the Smash Bros. crossover is still a mystery, one thing that is actively on players' minds is Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. While most have just been happy at the special edition's existence on next-gen consoles, there has been a bit of bad news for PC players. Recently it was confirmed by Capcom that Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition won't feature ray-tracing on the PC version. PC players have not taken the news well and, unfortunately, have taken to review bombing the game on Steam.

However, PC, PS4, and Xbox One Devil May Cry 5 players do have something to look forward to. Although they won't be receiving any graphical upgrades to the game, these players will have the opportunity to wield the Yamato as Vergil in paid DLC.

Devil May Cry 5 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
