About a week ago, Capcom released a brief gameplay trailer for Devil May Cry 5 during Tokyo Game Show 2018 that highlighted the many new weapons and skills that Dante will be wielding once the forthcoming hack-and-slash title officially hits store shelves. Now, those who want to delve into even more of what the character will have to offer should be delighted by the fact that the publisher and developer has decided to put out more than 20 minutes of gameplay showcasing the series' central protagonist in action.

As seen below in the latest Devil May Cry 5 gameplay video, fans can get a good look at Dante exploring, figuring out the solutions to some puzzles, and doing battle with multiple demonic enemies with the help of his new twin motorcycle swords and a slew of other weapons. Those who stick it out to the end of the footage will be rewarded with a boss fight between Dante and a big, supernatural knight with gigantic bat wings.

While many will likely agree that this piece of footage is more evidence of Devil May Cry 5 coming along quite nicely, some may choose to avoid the game altogether, as Capcom has decided to add microtransactions to the title. Although the publisher and developer has promised that the microtransactions in DMC 5 are only there as an option for players who want to unlock everything right away, some critics argue that there's still a chance that they will have an influence on the overall progression system and gameplay.

Be that as it may, these Devil May Cry fans will just have to wait and find out whether or not Capcom's microtransactions for the fifth numbered entry will be as pernicious as they suspect. After all, there's always the chance that the publisher and developer is telling the truth about why they were added.

At any rate, it's safe to presume that most, if not all DMC fans have been impressed with the graphical fidelity and combat found in the gameplay released thus far. With this being the case, it will be interesting to see just how many players go on to secure themselves a copy of Devil May Cry 5 at launch despite its microtransactions.

Devil May Cry 5 is currently scheduled to release on March 8, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
