At the end of 2018, players looking forward to the upcoming action-adventure title Devil May Cry 5 were offered the chance by Capcom to give the game a go by way of an exclusive demo on Xbox One. Now, it looks as if the publisher and developer is going to let fans on PlayStation 4 try out the highly anticipated hack-and-slash sequel as well, with the Sony console set to receive a demo of its own next month.

According to a tweet from the official Twitter account for Devil May Cry 5, the PS4's demo for the game will officially go live on February 7, 2019, and this particular trial version will also be coming to the Xbox One on the same date. Apparently, Capcom has taken the exclusive demo for Xbox One released in December 2018 offline, but those who downloaded it prior to its removal can still play it if they have it on their system.

For those who may have missed out on downloading the December 2018 demo for Xbox One and can't wait until February to try their hand at the title, Capcom has put out a bevy of different videos that provide a solid look at the action to come. For instance, the company has released over 20 minutes of gameplay featuring Dante, with the footage highlighting the franchise's long-time protagonist laying waste to multiple demonic enemies with his twin motorcycle swords and a slew of other weapons.

All things considered, with just a little more than a couple of months left before Devil May Cry 5 officially goes live, there's no doubt that PlayStation 4 fans will be excited to try out the game's demo once it becomes available. Capcom has yet to state whether or not it intends to provide PC gamers with the chance to play a demo before they commit to a purchase, but one can only hope that fans on personal computing platforms are eventually able to join in on the fun soon, too.

Devil May Strong 5 is set to release on March 8, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
