Rumors of Devil May Cry 5 currently being in development have been in circulation since it was suggested that the game was meant to appear at PlayStation Experience last year. A recent PlayStation E3 showcase leak again alluded to the idea that Capcom may definitely be working on another installment in the popular series. Now, it seems that another leak has all but confirmed that a new Devil May Cry title may soon be revealed.

The leak comes from yet another retailer; this time Austrian video game vendor Gamesware, who posted a pre-order listing for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the supposed upcoming title. Other than the suggested 2018 release date and the title being Devil May Cry 5, the listing does not reveal all that much about the new game.

Capcom has yet to comment on any of the supposed leaks, indicating Devil May Cry 5 may be in existence. With both sources revealing very little other than the game’s title, fans are only able to speculate about what a new game may entail, however.

Despite no real information about the title currently being available, it is not far-fetched to believe that Capcom may be planning a sequel, with previous titles having been both commercially successful and positively received. If the Devil May Cry 5 rumors prove to be true and Capcom does showcase and announce a soon-to-come release date for the Resident Evil 2 Remake at E3, it does seem as if the publisher could be looking at a very rewarding 2018 overall.

However, it must be reiterated that both the 2018 PlayStation E3 showcase setlist and the retailer leak should be viewed with some caution until Capcom actually does officially announce the game. E3 is nearly here and with it sometimes comes all sorts of rumors that later prove to be nothing more than just wishful thinking.

Devil May Cry 5 is rumored to be in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
