Ever since the announcement of Devil May Cry 5 at E3 earlier this year, fans have feverishly waiting for more details regarding the series' main man Dante, who has been constantly teased for months. Now, at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom has released a brand new trailer all about the red-coated Demon Hunter, with plenty of extra announcements to go with it.

Devil May Cry 5 sees Dante returning to his usual business, looking scruffier than usual but a tiny bit more clean-shaven than his original appearance in the first trailer and armed with plenty of familiar-looking weapons, including his iconic sword Rebellion and twin pistols Ebony and Ivory. According to a Capcom Unity blog post, however, the game will feature some new twists on these classic archetypes.

The trailer also gives a more detailed look at one of Dante's new weapons - his motorbike Cavaliere, which can not only be split into two giant clubs/chainsaws, but can also be ridden in the middle of combat.

In addition, DMC 5 will mark the returns of recurring characters Trish and Lady, who will now be teaming up to aid Dante throughout his journey, most likely as non-playable assist characters. With Dante eventually meeting up with Nero and Nico AND the still mysterious third playable character V (who we finally get a proper first glimpse of), this could be the biggest team-up of characters in the series so far.

Speaking of Nero, seemingly refusing to let Dante hog the limelight, he got to show off some new Devil Breakers, one of which being Mega Man's own Mega Buster. This will be part of the Devil May Cry 5 Deluxe Edition, which also includes extra Devil Breakers, 12 alternate classic battle themes and more. And anyone who pre-orders the game (regular edition of deluxe) will be granted with alternate costumes for Dante, Nero, Nico, Trish and Lady.

In related news, Capcom released a music video for Dante's battle theme yesterday, titled Subhuman. Unlike the incredibly popular Devil Trigger, this track came under a lot of scrutiny, with 980 likes and 1,100 dislikes on YouTube until Capcom, for unknown reasons, took the video down. While we could assume it was because of the negative criticism it received, it's very unlikely that this will lead to the song being removed from the final game or something.

Devil May Cry 5 will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2019.
