A video detailing the second half of the upcoming DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been released, focusing on the portion of the content where Adam Jensen is able to get off the ship and finds himself on a secret Belltower sea lab. Well, it’s more like a sea base, but there’s probably a lab somewhere in there.
Two months after originally releasing, “The Missing Link” is the first DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution that covers a period of time during the story where Adam escapes a bad situation by stowing himself away into a cargo container to further his investigation. Unfortunately, he is discovered and then the DLC is off and running. The cinematic trailer is available to check out, as well as a walkthrough of some of the earlier portions of the content.
The DLC will also contain some new elements not present in the original game, such as new traps and hazards, not having access to your augmentation (and maybe able to respec?), and of course, another thick layer of conspiracy that adds to the Human Revolution story. Watch the video below and see what kind of secrets await you in a secret Belltower complex.
That’s an interesting surprise at the end. Of course, where there’s a prison, there are people who are going to need help and of course Adam Jensen will be there to help and assist in whatever way the player views fit. In addition to the regular kind of exploration that players will be able to undertake during “The Missing Link”, there will also be an occasion to have another boss fight that might actually be fun.
Certainly, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix have made some new fans or rekindled old fans with this latest Deus Ex game. With this first batch of DLC being released, there could be a bit more before long to keep people hungry for the fully realized world of 2027.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The Missing Link releases October 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and OnLive.
