This initial trailer was so well-received, that Square Enix continued to show it after E3 at other gaming events and even made the trailer's soundtrack available for download. When the actual E3 footage and a new trailer released in August and September, respectively, Eidos Montreal appeared to confirm a return to the roots of the original title, but there was some concerns as to how the gameplay would work. For the last few months, however, new information about DE:HR had been sparse.
Today, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix provided us with the news that a new gameplay trailer would debut tomorrow. In a tease for the new footage, we were provided with a single screenshot from the trailer, which you can check out yourself below.
We've been told that there could be hints in this image as to the contents of the trailer itself. The title of the image is "Icarus," the Greek boy who flew too close to the sun while using wings made of feathers and wax. As a result, the heat melted the wax, and he crashed to his doom. Based upon the previous trailers, this theme of man knowing his place in the universe obviously will permeate the story of the game. Perhaps when Adam Jensen relies too heavily on his new cybernetic abilities, there is a detrimental effect?
Let us know what your thoughts are regarding the screenshot and make sure to come back to Game Rant tomorrow for the full trailer where we'll attempt to make sense of it all.
