Without a doubt, there are many gaming fans who consider Sony Interactive Entertainment and Quantic Dream's forthcoming neo-noir thriller Detroit: Become Human to be one of the most highly anticipated video games of 2018. While players have been eager to learn exactly when they will be able to get their hands on the title, it looks as if the wait won't be that much longer, as it has finally received a release date of May 25, 2018.

The news was officially revealed with an update on the PlayStation Blog from Quantic Dream's David Cage, with the Detroit: Become Human director going on to state that the title is the developer's "most ambitious title to date." Cage also promised that it's set to be a game with the most variables that the studio has made yet, as "each story is almost as unique as your DNA," with "the result of the choices you made, the minor ones and the important ones" personalizing the story.

For the uninitiated, Detroit: Become Human follows the narrative arcs of Connor, Kara, and Markus, who are three different androids in a near-future Detroit, with the game charting the beginning of an android revolution. Considering the scope of the tale, it makes sense that the title has been in development for quite some time, which has resulted in Detroit: Become Human's script being more than 2000 pages long.

All things considered, fans of Quantic Dream's previous titles will undoubtedly be excited at the prospect of playing through another in-depth story from the studio this summer in Detroit: Become Human. As far as intricate levels of detail are concerned, the bar has been set high with Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, so fans are surely hoping for the chance to dive deep and get lost in the narrative of Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human is set to release on May 25, 2018 for PlayStation 4.
