With the release of 2020's Destroy All Humans! remake, fans of the series have been curious if this title would mean more games coming from the long dormant franchise. Now THQ Nordic has officially announced Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. The Destroy All Humans 2 trailer acts as the first look and announcement for a remake on the second game in the Destroy All Humans! series from its original run in the mid 2000's.

This new game, titled Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed, looks like it will be as faithful of a recreation of the original sequel as the 2020 remake was of the first game in the series. Once again, players will control Destroy All Humans! protagonist Crypto in large, open stages, as they kill and harvest human brains from several different locations from all over the world. Altogether, the gameplay looks similar to the original, though the visuals have seen a striking improvement over the 2006 version of the game, with much smoother textures and character models.

Interestingly, the trailer only mentions PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X as the game's platforms. However, the 2020 remake did appear on PC, PS4, and Xbox One at launch, with Destroy All Humans! receiving a Switch and Stadia release not long after the initial release. So, while it's certainly possible that the Destroy All Humans! 2 remake is going to be a next-gen exclusive, it's possible that it will eventually make its way to other platforms at some point down the line.

Given how long a Destroy All Humans! 2 remake has been teased, it was only a matter of time until the official announcement arrived from either Black Forest Games or THQ Nordic. It was certainly one of the biggest announcements at the THQ Nordic 10 year anniversary showcase.

Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed is in the works for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
