It's another weekend in the world of Destiny and that means Xur, Agent of the Nine, has appeared somewhere in the Tower. But rather than have players pore over every inch of that Earthly sanctuary. we have the full scoop on where to find Xur and what items he has for sale this week.

Unlike last week, when Xur was tucked well off the beaten path near one of the Destiny Faction Quartermasters, the Agent of the Nine is actually pretty easy to spot. Simply walk into the Guardian Vanguard room and he's off to the right. For clarification, the Vanguards are the three class-specific vendors that are standing around a table.

As far as what Xur has on sale this week, it's a bit of grab bag from past offerings, with a few new additions peppered in. He has one Exotic helm each for the Titan and Hunter class, gauntlets for the Warlock class, a new Exotic Pulse Rifle called 'Red Death,' and this week's Exotic Engram is for helms.

Xur Items Weekend October 3rd

Here is the full list of armor and weapons, as well as their prices:

  • Helm of Saint-14 (Titan Helm) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Achylophage Symbiote (Hunter Helm) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Sunbreakers (Warlock Gauntlets) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Red Death (Pulse Rifle) - 23 Strange Coins
  • Exotic Helm Engram - 23 Motes of Light

Overall, it's a fine selection of items but many might be wondering why Bungie is repeating their selection so soon. Just two weeks ago, the Sunbreakers were on sale, and now they are back again. And after offering a fairly competent primary weapon last week, they come back with another one. Granted, none of these guns are as good as the Vex Mythoclast, but still. Where are the secondary weapon options?

Perhaps Bungie only has so many items tabbed for Xur sales and they are slowly running out of options. Much like players can only get certain exotics from the Crucible, or the Vault of Glass Raid, maybe there are only a specific number of exotics that Xur can sell. If that's true and we've started to reach those diminishing returns, that's pretty disappointing but not unexpected. However, once we do hit that point then, like many of the other items (Legendary Engrams for example) in Destiny, the Strange Coins start to become meaningless, and in turn the Weekly Heroic Strike becomes pointless.

Hopefully, and this is just the optimist speaking, the Sunbreakers are back because they look cool and not because Bungie is running out of Xur items. We'll have to see if there are any repeats next weekend.

Are you interested in any of the items Xur has on sale this week? How do you feel about repeat items?
