We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of September 16th.

This is it. The last Xur appearance before the release of Destiny: Rise of Iron. For a while now Xur has been an irrelevant part of the Destiny cycle - at least to those veteran players that have already collected every exotic. But next week that could all change.

Although we know that Xur will be returning for Destiny's next expansion, Bungie has not yet said whether there will be anything new in the Agent of the Nine's inventory. Last year's Taken King expansion introduced new exotic engrams to the fold, along with Three of Coins, and eventually Glass Needles. What could Xur have for Year 3? Next week we will find out.

But this week is still the same old, same old. Players can find Xur in a frequent spot: in front of the big door across from The Speaker. To find him simply head to the left after spawning, following the long hallway, and Xur should be on the right hand side.

For exotic armor, this week Xur has the No Backup Plans gauntlets for Titans, the ATS/8 Tarantella chest piece for Hunters, and the Heart of Praxic Fire chest piece for Warlocks. All three are decent exotic options for their respective classes, especially in the Crucible. At this point, though, if you don't own them and don't want to spend the Strange Coins, we wouldn't fault you for waiting.

Xur's exotic weapon this weekend is the Plan C fusion rifle, one of only a few fusion rifles that players favor in the Crucible. With deadly range, Plan C is a beast in the right hands, but only after a little bit of practice. Still, if you haven't given the weapon a try we'd recommend Plan C to those players who think fusion rifles don't get enough PvP love.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • No Backup Plans (Titan Gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins
  • ATS/8 Tarantella (Hunter Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Heart of Praxic Fire (Warlock Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Plan C (Fusion Rifle) – 23 Strange Coins
  • Legacy Primary Weapon Engram – 29 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins

For now, most Destiny players will be waiting what Year 3 holds for Xur, but it's not a bad selection to go out on either. In Year 2, Xur was off to a fast start so it will be interesting to see how things change in Rise of Iron.

Destiny: Rise of Iron releases September 20, 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One.
