Things are about to get a bit spooky next week in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep as the annual Festival of the Lost makes its return. Eva Levante is back in charge of the event and players will be able to collect new masks as well as earn candy like Chocolate Strange Coins. New gear is also available such as the modified version of the Braytech Winter Wolf assault rifle, the Werewolf.

For many though, the main piece of content this event offers is the Haunted Forest. Like the Revelry event before it, the Haunted Forest is a twisted take on the Infinite Forest from the Curse of Osiris expansion. Fireteams of three have 15 minutes to clear as many branches of the forest as possible to finish bounties and score even more candy. Candy can be redeemed with Eva for mystery grab bags, new masks, and the previously mentioned Werewolf auto rifle.

Until then however, the exotic merchant Xur is back in town, challenging Destiny 2 players to locate him to see what's in stock this weekend. Thankfully, follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he's currently selling for the weekend of October 25, 2019.

Where is Xur?

For this weekend, players can find Xur hanging out at the Tower Hangar near Dead Orbit. From the default landing zone, immediately head to the left and following the path down into the Hangar.

After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal stair case. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.

Class Armor

Xur has brought some strong options with him this week, as well as the Fated Engram for those who may want something else entirely.

Interestingly enough, the Armor 2.0 update has caused Xur's items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Either way, here are Xur's three gear pieces this weekend:

Geomag Stabilizers - Warlock Leg Armor

The Geomag Stabilizers are back in stock and remain an incredibly valuable exotic for Warlocks using Chaos Reach. The intrinsic perk on this item is called Close Enough which fills the players super meter by running when it’s nearly full. In addition, hitting enemies with Chaos Reach extends the supers duration.

Being able to fill a super meter just by running is a great thing to have as it means Warlocks can get to their super ability faster than other players. Naturally, this makes it a great exotic item and one that all Chaos Reachers should have in their inventory.

Liar's Handshake - Hunter gauntlets

For the first time ever, the Annual Pass exotic is on sale for Hunter guardians. While the item has just been added to the Fated Engram as part of the Shadowkeep update, this is likely the final exotic many players have been searching for to complete their collection.

This armor can be extremely strong in the right hands, even though its monstrous 1-2 damage combo on major bosses was patched out of the game. When paired with certain perks from the seasonal artifact, Hunters can once again generate some massive melee damage whether against fellow players in PvP activities or PvE enemies. They're definitely worth picking up for those who don't yet have them.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +12
  • Resilience +6
  • Recovery +6
  • Discipline +6
  • Intellect +6
  • Strength +12

Synthoceps - Titan gauntlets

The rarely seen Synthoceps gauntlets are there for Titans who like to punch things, which really should be everyone. Biotic Enhancements, the item's intrinsic perk, not only buffs the melee range, but when the player is surrounded by enemies, it also buffs damage. Similar to Liar's Handshake above, this item can make players very powerful when paired with certain mods from the seasonal artifact.

While these are a popular Titan exotic, buying this specific item is entirely up to the user and whether or not the stats on this is better than what they may already have. Since this is equivalent to a collection roll, players may already have a stronger version. For those who don't, pick it up this weekend.

Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +10
  • Resilience +11
  • Recovery +3
  • Discipline +6
  • Intellect +6
  • Strength +12

Exotic Weapon

Destiny 2 SUROS

Back on sale this week is the Suros Regime auto rifle, a surprisingly customizable weapon. It's perk is SUROS Legacy, which gives half of the current ammo magazine bonus damage as well as giving a chance to regenerate health after a kill. However, the gun features a second perk that lets players pick what kind of weapon they want to use. Spinning Up increases the rate of fire when the trigger is held down. On the other hand, Dual Speed Receiver slows down the rate of fire and increases the damage when the player aims down the sights.

Auto Rifles in general received a big boost in the Shadowkeep update, giving them anywhere from 25-35% more damage against PvE enemies. It remains a popular weapon, though it isn't top tier at this point. Solid weapon overall and worth a buy for those who don't have it.

The perks for this weapon this weekend are:

  • Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Tactical Mag
  • Hand-Laid Stock

Here's the complete rundown of Xur's entire stock in Destiny 2 for October 25:

  • Geomag Stabilizers (Warlock Leg Armor) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Liars Handshake (Hunter gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Synthoceps (Titan gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Suros Regime (Auto Rifle) - 29 Legendary Shards
  • Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
  • Five of Swords Challenge Card

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
