We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of November 25th.

It's the third Black Friday now for Destiny players and most know by now that the exotic weapon and armor vendor Xur is not beholden to America's consumerist holiday. Xur's sole focus is on delivering exotics at a set price, and if players don't like it they can take their business elsewhere. Sure, it would be cool to see Destiny have fun with the Black Friday "holiday" and do something a little out of the ordinary, but the devs are busy celebrating with their families, and after a very successful launch for Rise of Iron they deserve it.

As far as Xur is concerned, players can find him in the hangar located in Tower South. Head to the left after spawning in, follow the pathway past the Cryptarch, keep walking down the long hallway with awkward doorways, and then make a right immediately after entering the hangar. Xur should be on the right hand side next to the fencing.

For exotic armor, this week Xur has the Immolation Fists gauntlets for Titans, the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest piece for Hunters, and Voidfang Vestments chest piece for Warlocks. The three exotics aren't going to light the world on fire in terms of their usefulness, but they can work in specific scenarios. Crest of Alpha Lupi, for example, is a great exotic for Trials of Osiris since it speeds up revive time.

Xur's exotic weapon this week is Patience and Time, the sniper rifle. Again, not an exotic that many Destiny players are going to be using, but one that is fun to play around with. Being able to turn invisible while aiming down the sniper rifle's sights is a cool gimmick, and every now and again it comes in handy.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • Immolation Fists (Titan Gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Voidfang Vestments (Warlock Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Patience and Time (Sniper Rifle) – 23 Strange Coins
  • Prototype Ornament (Truth) – 25 Silver Dust
  • Iconoclast Ornament (Invective) – 25 Silver Dust
  • Legacy Helmet Engram – 29 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins (5) – 7 Strange Coins

All told, nothing much to write home about from Xur, but a few exotics that are fun to test out, especially in PvP. If you have the Strange Coins to spare we would recommend picking up the Immolation Fists and Crest of Alpha Lupi, both can be pretty useful for their respective classes. Patience and Time is also fun, but only at first.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
