Welcome to a very special Black Friday edition of "Where is Xur," this time with 100% correct information!
While the hope was that on Black Friday Xur might offer some of his usual exotic wares to Destiny players at a steep discount, it appears the Agent of the Nine is not beholden to American consumerism. Rather, Xur is still asking for his usual sum of Strange Coins in exchange for some pretty useful weapons and gear.
But first, it's up to players to find Xur. This weekend, Destiny's mysterious Agent of the Nine can be found in one of his usual spots right next to the Crucible Quartermasters.
As far as Xur's exotics are concerned chest pieces are once again on the menu for all three classes - a revelation that is sure to be bring plenty of disappointment. Although Xur's selection might be limited, seeing the Armamentarium and the Voidfang Vestments every other week has got to be deflating.
Thannkfully, Xur's exotic weapon more than makes up for that. This week the Agent of the Nine has the Plan C fusion rifle for sale, a special weapon that I've personally heard nothing but good things about. Some had thought that Plan C could only come as a drop from either the Raid or a Nightfall Strike, but that is apparently not the case. Or that was the original plan, and Bungie's showing players a little holiday love.
Here is the full list of items and prices for Xur this weekend:
- Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
- Armamentarium (Titan Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
- Voidfang Vestments (Warlock Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
- Plan C (Fusion Rifle) – 17 Strange Coins
- Exotic Gauntlet Engram – 23 Motes of Light
With only one more Xur sale to go before the launch of The Dark Below expansion, excitement is starting to build thanks to the promise of new legendary and exotic gear. So far Bungie has yet to say whether Xur might sell some of the DLC's new items, but we're hoping he will. And if we may make a suggestion, how about offering the Dragon's Breath rocket launcher?
What do you think of Xur's selection for this weekend? Were you expecting cheaper prices or better items in honor of Black Friday?
