It’s another Xur weekend Destiny players, and once again the Agent of the Nine has graced the residents of the Tower with his presence. Interestingly enough, this is also one of the last times that Xur might be in the Tower, as the new Reef social space will offer more hiding spots for the exotic vendor. This week, however, finding Xur should be no problem.
Destiny players can find Xur in the Tower North, at the far end of the area. He’s standing precariously close to the balcony’s edge, overlooking the last remnants of Earth.
Xur’s Exotic Selection
As far as Xur’s exotic armor is concerned, if there are any players out there still struggling with the Crota’s End raid on hard we recommend picking up the Titan or Warlock helmets. Both with recharge health when picking up an orb – a nifty ability that makes the final fight with Crota much easier.
Similarly, the Truth rocket launcher is a solid option, if only because of its tracking ability. In most cases, tracking is not essential, but when it comes to dealing fast DPS on Crota, something that ensures players won’t miss is very important. It also doesn’t hurt to have the Truth for any Nightfall Strikes with the ‘Void Burn’ modifier.
For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:
- An Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Knucklehead Radar (Hunter Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Apotheosis Veil (Warlock Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Truth (Rocket Launcher) – 17 Strange Coins
- Exotic Shard – 7 Strange Coins

Some had hoped that Xur might sell Gjallarhorn as an attempt by Bungie to reinvigorate the community before House of Wolves releases on May 19th, but unfortunately that was not the case. He does have the exotic upgrade for the rare rocket launcher, though, for any who haven’t boosted the weapon’s attack power.

This is potentially the last week that Xur’s inventory will be a known quantity, in so much as we know what specific items he can and cannot sell. Next week, once the House of Wolves DLC has launched, it’s certainly possible that new exotic gear and exotic weapons will be part of the Xur random draw.
We’ll admit that the appeal of Xur has tapered off for a lot of Destiny players, but the DLC might be just the shot in the arm the Agent of the Nine needs. At the very least, players will be more curious to check Xur’s exotic inventory knowing that he might potentially sell new stuff.
What do you hope Xur has for sale next week? Do you think it might be one of the new House of Wolves exotics?
