We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of March 4th.

For Destiny players, this week was all about looking back, learning a little more about the Taken King expansion as part of the first Bungie Ride Along. During these Ride Alongs, which will include a look at the King's Fall raid next week, developers at Bungie hope to shed light on some of the ideas that went into crafting each unique experience in Destiny: The Taken King.

If nothing else, the Ride Alongs offer a chance for players to appreciate the work that did go into bringing the Destiny expansion to life, even if they are currently maligning the lack of content. And eventually the Bungie streams will cover the future of Destiny, including an important look at the upcoming Spring update.

But until then it's business as usual, which means it's time for our weekly visit from Xur. The exotic vendor has been on quite the roll as of late, delivering solid exotic armor choices that, for any more casual players, are fitting additions to their arsenal. Will he keep it up and maybe even offer something completely new? Read on to find out.

This week, Xur can be found in Tower North, near the Speaker's quarters. In fact, Tower North has been a frequent hiding spot for the Agent of the Nine as of late - perhaps he has grown fond of the view. To find Xur all one needs do his head to the left after spawning in, follow the path down the long hallways and stairs, and Xur should be in the far back of the open area along the balcony.

For armor, this week Xur has the Mk. 44 Stand Asides boots for Titans, the Graviton Forfeit helmet for Hunters, and the Nothing Manacles gauntlets for Warlocks. Out of the three choices we'd peg the Hunter helmet as the most viable exotic option because they grant the Shadestep perk to Nightstalkers for free. Shadestep has become an extremely popular perk as of late, due in large part to its ability to negate tracking (on most attacks) and certain Damage Over Time debuffs like Firebolt burn.

Xur's weapon this week is the Hawkmoon, one of the few solid hand cannons available in the game. At one point, the Hawkmoon was a PlayStation exclusive, but the launch of The Taken King freed the gun to both platforms and added it to Xur's loot table. Admittedly, there are better hand cannon options available, namely Thorn and The Last Word, but Hawkmoon can serve its purpose in PvP.
