Destiny: Xur Location and Exotic Items for July 8-10

By | 4 months ago

We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of July 8th.

Now that the Bungie Day celebration has died down, it’s time for Destiny players to focus on trying to complete the new Moments of Triumph for Year 2. Like with last year’s Moments of Triumph, this year’s will serve as a road map of the unique activities available to players. Moreover, the Moments signify some of the biggest challenges in Destiny since the release of The Taken King expansion.

Players will have about two months to complete their Moments of Triumph, before Destiny officially switches over to Year 3 with the release of Rise of Iron. After that, no more shader or emblem unlocking will be possible. So, try to check those items of the list sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, finding Xur is not on that list for Year 2 Moments of Triumph, but the Agent of Nine has returned for his usual weekend visit. One day Xur may get his moment in the sun, but for now he’s stuck hanging in one spot for 48 hours.

This week, Destiny players can find Xur across from The Speaker in Tower North. After spawning in, head to the left and follow the pathway down and past the New Monarchy vendor. If you’re on the right track, Xur should be on the right hand side, next to the big door.

For armor, Xur has The Armamentarium chest pieces for Titans, the Bones of Eao boots for Hunters, and the Purifier Robes chest piece for Warlocks. All three pieces are very useful for their respective classes, with the Titan and Warlock pieces working very well in PvP. The Bones of Eao, on the other hand, can assist with challenging platforming sections in Destiny, like the two jumping puzzles in the King’s Fall raid.

Xur’s exotic weapon this week is the MIDA Multi-Tool, a great option for PvP players. Since being brought forward to Year 2, MIDA has been at the top of the PvP food chain, rivaling any and every gun available. Obviously, there are some who will choose other weapon classes for their Crucible exploits, but the MIDA Multi-Tool should not be overlooked.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • The Armamentarium (Titan Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
