We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of July 1st.

Even Bungie acknowledged in their latest Weekly Blog Post that Destiny players are trapped somewhere between the dark and the light. On the one hand, Iron Banner is back and many of the connection issues plaguing players have been fixed. On the other, we’re still a few months away from the launch of Rise of Iron, the first meaty content drop since the launch of The Taken King nearly a year ago.

Eventually Bungie will begin to talk about Destiny: Rise of Iron, and that content gap will feel less substantial, as we enter the home stretch. But for now the developer isn’t willing to talk about its next expansion and the current slate of content is all we have.

Speaking of current content, Xur is back to offer Destiny players another bundle of exotic gear and one weapon. However, he’s not in his usual spots this week, but has instead opted for a change of scenery.

As some have probably guessed, this week players can find Xur in the Reef, in his only hiding spot. For those who might know that’s the door down the stairs and to the right of the spawn in point.

For exotic armor, this week Xur has the Twilight Garrison chest piece for Titans, the Mask of the Third Man helmet for Hunters, and the Apotheosis Veil helmet for Warlocks. At one point the Garrison chest piece might have been an exciting sight for Titans, but chances are most members of that class own it. Same goes for the two helmets in Xur’s selection.

That being said, we’d recommend picking up the Twilight for a little Titan air-dashing fun, or the Mask of the Third Man helmet for some extra Bladedancer power. But bear in mind that the Twilight Garrison isn’t as useful (or as fun) as it used to be following the most recent nerf.

On the weapon side Xur has the Bad Juju pulse rifle, great for those situations where charging Supers quickly is important. For example, the Bad Juju will come in mighty handy during this week’s Challenge of the Elders, which grants bonus points for Super kills. Since Supers aren’t too quick to charge on their own, or even with max Intellect, the Bad Juju can help give players a little extra push.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • Twilight Garrison (Titan Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
