We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of January 27th.

While everyone in the Destiny fan base knows that news regarding Destiny 2 is looming in the distance, it is up to developer Bungie to keep their players satisfied with the current experience, either by adding new content or by improving what's already there. This week, Bungie took further steps towards revealing plans for a major Destiny PvP balance update that should fix a few of the more nagging issues.

Chief among them Bungie talked about helping make primary weapons more viable, and in turn lessening the reliance on shotguns in Destiny. As it stands right now, if a player doesn't have a solid shotgun in Destiny PvP, then they are at a serious disadvantage. Time to kill with primaries is too slow and there is little that can be done to combat a rusher with a Matador 64, outside of using one yourself.

But while the tease of a PvP balance update is meant to keep players occupied for now, in the mean time Xur has returned with some exotic wares to sell. This weekend, Destiny players can find Xur in the Vanguard area of Tower East. Just head straight forward after spawning in and keeping walking until you reach the back room. Xur should be on the right hand side.

Xur's exotic armor pieces this week are the Glasshouse helmet for Titans, the Graviton Forfeit helmet for Hunters, and the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets for Warlocks. Any Hunters that run Nightstalker would do well to pick up the Graviton helmet as it adds the Shadestep perk for free, and Glasshouse is not a bad option for Titans that like to have their Ward of Dawn bubble active for long stretches of time.

On the exotic weapon front, Xur has the Zhalo Supercell for sale, one of the only exotic primary weapons that has an elemental damage attached. More importantly, the auto rifle is a Year 2 exotic, which means it can be upgraded to the current light level, and is perfect for strikes that have the Arc Burn modifier turned on. If you've never used a Zhalo when Arc Burn is on we highly recommend it.
