We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of February 3rd.

While Bungie is still playing coy about the upcoming weapon balance patch for Destiny, the developer did take its first steps towards a date reveal by announcing a livestream. Next week some of Destiny's sandbox team will take players through the changes coming to PvP, explaining why the developers tweaked what they did.

Further down the road there are also plans for new Destiny content, but Bungie is saving any info about that for a later date. Most expect that the final piece of Destiny content will release in April, but that's only speculation at this point. What is clear is that Destiny 2 is looming in the horizon, and eventually all Destiny developers will become Destiny 2 developers.

Whether the in-game pieces of Destiny will also make the jump to Destiny 2 is not yet clear, but most hope that the exotic vendor Xur comes along for the ride. After all, what would Friday mornings be without a visit from the Agent of the Nine.

This week, Destiny players can find Xur in the northern section of the Tower, next to the balcony. After spawning in, follow the pathway to the left, continue down the long hallway and down a couple of stairs, and in the next area Xur should be in the back against the railing. If it doesn't look like Xur is there walk a little closer and he may spawn.

Xur's exotic armor options this weekend are the Helm of Saint-14 helmet for Titans, the Radiant Dance Machines boots for Hunters, and the Skull of Dire Ahamkara helmet for Warlocks. Out of the three exotic armor pieces, the Titan helmet is likely to get the most use, thanks to its ability to blind enemies within the Ward of Dawn bubble. With it, players can take AI enemies out of the equation for a time, either to manage a large group or focus damage on a boss.

On the exotic weapon side, Xur has the Invective shotgun for sale, a full auto, ammo-replenishing weapon that has been known to be quite useful from time to time. Granted, there are better shotguns out there that don't take up an exotic weapon slot, but Invective is fun to use in PvE. It may even come back in style depending on how Bungie tweaks special ammo with the balance patch.
