We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of December 2nd.
It’s been a fairly uneventful week for Destiny players, as developer Bungie is in between content releases. Not long ago Bungie shut the door on launch content and in turn began to focus its efforts on what comes next. More immediately, next week will see the launch of another Iron Banner event, which will be focused on the Rift mode and offer some of the new Iron Banner weapons in return.
However, this weekend is also likely to play host to talk of Destiny‘s next content drop, which many figure to be Sparrow Racing League. All gamers know at this point is that Bungie is slated to participate in Sony’s PSX event, but speculation is running rampant that the studio will unveil something new this weekend. That could mean a lot of things – some are even thinking Destiny 2 news might be in the cards – but the safest bet is on a Sparrow Racing League unveiling.
But before Destiny shifts into speed mode, Xur, the Agent of the Nine, has stopped by to offer his exotic wares to players for the weekend. This week, Xur is holed up in the Vanguard Hall, which players can find in the Eastern wing of the Tower. For those who might be familiar, the Vanguard Hall is where Zavala and Cayde-6 hang out, and it’s where the exotic weapon and armor kiosks are located. Xur will be on the right hand side, against the wall, when you enter the Hall.
For armor this week, Xur has the Peregrine Greaves boots for Titans, the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest piece for Hunters, and the Voidfang Vestments chest piece for Warlocks. No, you’re not experiencing deja vu; these are the exact same Hunter and Warlock items that Xur sold last week. Do not be alarmed, but feel free to be disappointed. Considering its the only new exotic armor piece on the docket, the Peregrine Greaves are worth a pickup for Titans that love to use the Shoulder Charge ability. Outside of that, though, they won’t get much use.
Xur’s exotic weapon this week is the 4th Horseman shotgun, a deadly secondary weapon that packs a punch. Shotguns don’t get much love in PvE in Destiny but the 4th Horseman is a particularly fun gun to use, especially when the Arc Burn and/or Specialist modifiers are active. It really is hard to top a shotgun with four barrels.
