Today marks the beginning of the end for Destiny, as the last Trials of Osiris is set to kick off in just a few hours. And with it, one of the last regular ritual for Destiny will come to an end, as Bungie paves the way for new rituals in Destiny 2.

One Destiny ritual that has yet to come to an end, and may never do so, is the weekly appearance by Xur, the exotic vendor. Bungie has yet to reveal if Xur will continue to visit the game after Destiny 2 releases, but chances are he will. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Destiny 1 were left behind with Rise of Iron, and Xur still shows up every weekend for those platforms – albeit with different items.

Where is Xur?

This week, Destiny players can find Xur in front of the big door that’s across from The Speaker. Head to the left after spawning into The Tower, follow the hallway all the way through, and then Xur will be on the right in the open area. If you’re still confused, just head straight after leaving The Speaker’s quarters.

Xur’s exotic armor selection this weekend includes the ACD/0 Feedback Fence gauntlets for Titans, the Mask of the Third Man helmet for Hunters, and the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet for Warlocks.

The Warlock helmet is our choice for the best exotic armor piece out of Xur’s selection, especially for PvP fans. Fast revives and the ability to spawn an additional orb upon Super activation is very useful, especially during this last Trials of Osiris event. The Hunter helmet used to be a good pickup, mind you, but the Bladedancer has taken it out of the equation.

Exotic Weapon Returns

The good news is that Xur has an exotic weapon for sale this weekend, unlike last week when he forgot to bring an exotic. Telesto the fusion rifle is available for all to buy, and we highly recommend it. Not only does the weapon look cool and have a cool effect when its fusion coils explode, but it also does an insane amount of damage, especially when the ‘Void Burn’ and ‘Specialist’ modifiers are active for strikes.

Finally, Xur’s exotic weapon bundles are the Nemesis Star heavy machine gun and its Silver Bullet ornament, and the Hawkmoon hand cannon and its Carrion ornament.
