Given its popularity it's safe to say that most Destiny players are still recovering from the recent Destiny 2 console beta. Bungie's sequel offered a vision of the future that was certainly polarizing, but it was certainly new.

Now that the Destiny 2 beta has ended, however, some are returning to the world of Destiny to continue their weekly traditions. Xur is back once again and he has a selection of exotic armor and a weapon to purchase.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, Destiny players can find Xur in the Crucible section of The Tower, which houses both the Crucible Vendor and the Crucible Vanguard. Head directly straight after spawning into The Tower, follow the stairs down, walk past Eris Morn, and Xur should be in the first area on the left hand side next to some boxes.

Exotic Armor and Weapon

Xur's exotic armor selection this weekend includes the No Backup Plans gauntlets for Titans, the Skyburner's Annex helmet for Hunters, and the Starfire Protocol chest piece for Warlocks. Of the three pieces, the one we'd recommend the most is the No Backup Plans gauntlets.

Defender Titans don't get a lot of love in PvP, but the No Backup Plans make the subclass extremely viable, especially when using a shotgun like Universal Remote. The perk has a cooldown, but any kill with a shotgun while wearing the gauntlets will trigger an overshield. It's a huge advantage in PvP and go a long way towards helping players win 2v1 or even 3v1 scenarios in Trials of Osiris.

No Land Beyond is Xur's exotic weapon for this weekend, a sniper rifle that fills the primary weapon slot. At first No Land Beyond was thought to be a completely useless weapon, especially compared to faster-firing sniper rifles, but eventually Bungie made it a deadly option. More importantly, because of the changes to special ammo, No Land Beyond became a favorite among those that choose sniping over all else.

And finally, Xur's exotic weapon bundles are the Bad Juju pulse rifle and its Hoodoom ornament, and the Telesto fusion rifle and its Stellar Vestige ornament.
