Destiny: New Wrath of the Machine Sparrow is Available Now

With Destiny set to have the Wrath of the Machine raid go live tomorrow in the game's Age of Triumph event, it seems as if Bungie has already made the raid's XV2 Replicator Sparrow available ahead of the raid's availability. Originally released in the Rise of Iron expansion in the action-RPG's Year 3, the Legendary Sparrow looks to be obtainable now.

As seen below in the video from the YouTuber known as Nicholas Whiting, the player's Guardian takes it on a joyride throughout Lord's Watch in the Plaguelands at Old Russia, Earth almost as soon as he spawns into the area. Destiny fans can get a glimpse at the Legendary Sparrow's potent boost, strafe, and overdrive abilities, as well as its black and red color scheme, which occasionally emits glowing SIVA energy from its nose.

As of late, Guardians have been practically tearing through the offerings found within Destiny's Age of Triumph event, with plenty of players handling the revamped challenges' upped difficulties with aplomb. For instance, one fan recently soloed the first parts of the King's Fall raid at 390 Light, while another small, yet intrepid Fireteam set the world record fastest time for the defeat of the Nexus Mind Nightfall strike during a speedrun of epic proportions, so it's good to see Bungie rewarding such diligent fans with items like the XV2 Replicator Sparrow.

Taking all of this into consideration, it will be interesting to see what kinds of armor, gear, and sparrows are available to Destiny fans at the outset of the sequel's launch later this year. The hype for Destiny 2 is definitely real for a lot of players, and with items like the XV2 Replicator Sparrow giving fans a great way to get around the game in style, Bungie's got a high bar to vault over if they want to impress the title's built-in user base.

Destiny is out now for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
