It’s a huge month for Destiny players with tons of new information regarding Destiny 2 releasing at a rapid pace and a beta looming in just over two weeks. There may not be a lot going on in Destiny 1, but things are heating up as far as its sequel is concerned.

But never fear: Destiny 1 is still going strong even if Destiny 2 is stealing all of the attention. Yet again, Xur has returned to offer his exotic wares, and we have a full report on where to find the Agent of the Nine, what he has for sale, and whether any items are worth buying.

Xur Location

First off, players will find Xur in Tower South, in an area commonly referred to as the nightclub. After spawning in to the social space, head to the right and follow the path until there is nowhere else to go.

That means passing by the docking ships, going underneath the Future War Cult vendor, and into an area with some music and a few couches. Xur will be tucked in the corner on the left hand side.

Exotic Armor and Weapon

Xur’s exotic armor selection this weekend includes Eternal Warrior helmet for Titans, the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets for Hunters, and the Ophidian Aspect gauntlets for Warlocks. Of the three, the Ophidian Aspect gauntlets are the most useful for its respective class, offering fast reload and a better energy drain ability. At one point, the gauntlets were one of the best for PvP but Bungie realized that eventually and nerfed their utility a bit. The exotic gauntlets are still decent to use, but they used to be top tier.

Outside of that, the other two exotics have been sold by Xur very recently and even then are not that useful. The Eternal Warrior helmet looks cool on Titans but it isn’t that great for PvP or PvE.

Speaking of repeat items, Xur has the Hawkmoon exotic hand cannon for sale for the second weekend in a row. It’s never fun when Xur repeats, but when it’s his exotic weapon that really takes the wind out of players’ sails. If you don’t have it, Hawkmoon is worth a pickup – it looks cool and it’s pretty solid in PvE and PvP – but chances are the hand cannon is already in your inventory.

And finally, Xur’s exotic weapon bundles for this week are the Monte Carlo auto rifle and its Superspy ornament, and the Zhalo Supercell auto rifle and its Not a Toy ornament.
