For first-time players, starting Destiny 2 can be a little bit intimidating. The multiplayer FPS starts off with tons of story content and quests for new players loading in. Between past expansions and the ongoing Season of the Splicer, tackling the Destiny experience is tough without the guidance of experienced Guardians. For American rapper Soulja Boy, that wasn't an issue - in fact, the Destiny community gave him an overwhelming welcome during his recent Twitch stream.
Soulja Boy is far from new to the gaming scene. The rapper is a pretty frequent Twitch streamer, having joined controversial streamer xQc for a session of Among Us games around a year ago. To add, Soulja also has plans for another Soulja Game Console following the release of and consequent lawsuit against his previous one. It's clear to see that the rapper has a deep interest in video games, though strangely, Soulja hadn't tried Destiny 2 until recently.
Of course, Soulja Boy was far from alone upon loading into the Cosmodrome for the first time. Within minutes, the public space was populated with Guardians - no doubt both fans of the rapper and avid players of Destiny 2. It wasn't long before Soulja Boy had his own army of "souljas," so to speak.
Even though Destiny 2 added the "Crank That" rapper's signature dance years ago, the game never truly caught his attention. Soulja recalls playing it briefly, though whenever someone said Destiny, the rapper always mistakenly remembered Destiny as Warframe. To be fair, the two games share some similarities, though clearly, Soulja appreciated Destiny far more. In fact, according to Soulja Boy, Destiny 2 is basically "the best game of all time."
What has yet to be seen is if Soulja Boy will give the endgame content a shot. Granted, the rapper is currently tackling the Shadowkeep campaign with no signs of slowing down. Still, if Soulja finds some interest in Raids or Grandmaster Nightfalls, it presents an interesting opportunity. As Soulja has collaborated with the likes of xQc and Adept in the past, it would be entertaining to see him join up with fellow Destiny 2 streamers like Gladd or Ekuegan.
For Soulja Boy, his first experience with Destiny 2 might be well enough to include on his next game console. Notably, the rapper had plans to include Fortnite, another free-to-play shooter, though it was shot down by Epic Games. There's no telling how Bungie would take the news, though either way, it would seem that Soulja Boy is fully enamored with Destiny 2.
