In preparation for Solstice of Heroes to arrive to Destiny 2 tomorrow, July 31, Bungie has released a short trailer that highlights what will be available during the limited-time event.

The latest Destiny 2 trailer may be light on time, but it is packed with enough previews of the upcoming event to rouse Guardians who have been feeling the lull. From beginning to end, the Solstice of Heroes trailer provides glimpses of the new content, and more importantly, the new gear, that await players.

Those who join the festivities can participate in Redux Missions, which are past story missions that have been slightly altered, engage in new challenges, and complete Moments of Triumph. There are, of course, loads of goodies for Guardians to get their hands on, such as truly epic Ghost shells, that can be earned through new Solstice Engrams.

The highlight of the event is the new Solstice armor. This armor set can be upgraded by completing a series of objectives, which alter its Power and its appearance. In anticipation of this, we created a guide on how to upgrade Solstice armor all the way up to Power 400.

The armor is featured prominently throughout the trailer, and will be the main goal of the event for most. Also making an appearance is one of the new Sparrows and the new fishing emote.

Those who enjoyed the recent Whisper of the Worm exotic quest can look forward to even more secret and exotic quests being added in Forsaken. During an interview with Game Informer, Destiny 2 game director Steve Cotton confirmed that more exotic quests are coming, though he did not reveal specifics.

Bungie did reveal many of the new exotics that will release with the upcoming expansion through a recent trailer, but there will be at least few hidden ones for Guardians to find. But that's all part of the fun, and Destiny players wouldn't have it any other way.

Destiny 2: Forsaken releases on September 4, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
