With Destiny's Rise of Iron releasing in less than 24 hours from now, it's safe to presume that many Guardians are doing their best to get their characters prepared for the impending launch of the game's latest expansion. While the forthcoming DLC is set to bring about plenty of content in the way of a new social space, Strikes, PvE and PvP modes, as well as fresh armor and weapons, most fans of the game are more than likely looking forward to the add-on's Wrath of the Machine raid the most.

With that being the case, Bungie has fortunately provided Destiny fans with the recommended Light Level of 360 that Guardians should have before attempting to take on Rise of Iron's raid when it drops later this week. Since Wrath of the Machine's release date is scheduled for this Friday, September 23, players ought to have plenty of time in between now and then to hit the suggested number.

Of course, Bungie doesn't plan on limiting Destiny fans to a Light Level of 360 with the launch of Rise of Iron. As a matter of fact, the studio has gone on record in the past to state that upon the expansion's release, the Light Level cap will start at 385 and is going to be boosted up to 400 once the hard mode version of the raid comes out. That said, though, the developer has yet to confirm exactly when the more difficult iteration of the raid will become available.

If Destiny fans consider the raids of the past, such as King's Fall, the proposal of having a Light Level of 360 for Wrath of the Machine is merely where players should begin. Should Guardians want to beat Rise of Iron's raid with aplomb, then they need to be as close to the 385 cap as possible. Thankfully, Bungie is going to make such a feat much easier this time around, as players will be able to overlevel in preparation for the mode.

Naturally, beyond the recommended Light Level for Wrath of the Machine, Bungie wants to make sure that the newest Destiny raid remains as surprising as possible for the game's myriad players, so the studio has shied away from talking too much about its actual contents. Nevertheless, even though Rise of Iron launches tomorrow and the raid is set to follow later this week, there are certainly fans who want to absorb all the information pertaining to the expansion as they can, and they can do so by reading everything we know right here.
