If Bungie, creators of the Halo franchise, really wanted to steal the show at the Spike VGX they would have announced that their next epic franchise Destiny, is coming to PCs alongside consoles, but it's not. Not yet anyway.

The developer did however, announce the official release date for Destiny on their official site yesterday. It's coming next September and for another look at some new gameplay highlights, check out the gameplay sizzle reel above.

The brief teaser of gameplay highlights the co-op elements with playable characters teaming up against AI opponents and much of the environments we've seen in trailers and the latest batch of Destiny art and screenshots.

There's not too much actually new but as Spike VGX host Geoff Keighley revealed during the show, Bungie helped them out by scrambling to put something together at the last minute for fans.
