Destiny is as much a game about collecting rare and exciting loot as it is about shooting mysterious sci-fi aliens across the galaxy, and fans of the series are no stranger to spending hours on end chasing RNG. The CX20 Slipper Misfit Rare Ship from Destiny 1 is one of those items and it's currently on sale for the first time in over two years.

In Destiny 2, the majority of Ships come from microtransactions/Bright Engrams in the Eververse store or end-game activities rendering vehicle vendor Amanda Halliday relatively useless once the main campaign has been completed. However, in Destiny 1, Amanda Halliday has an inventory of five Ships and five Sparrows that rotate every couple of days. The CX20 Slipper Misfit is so rare that Amanda Holliday has only sold it four times since the release of the game in September 2014. The first time was in October 2014, two weeks after the launch of the game, the second in June 2015, and the third in February 2017.

Posted by Reddit user u/DestinyBolty on the DestinyTheGame subreddit, the CX20 Slipper Misfit Ship is currently on sale from Amanda Holliday in Destiny 1 and will be for the next two days. Purchasing the ship will cost players 7,520 Glimmer and is immediately added to both the player's inventory and the Ships kiosk, which wasn’t implemented into the game until after the second time it was sold. So some players may have purchased the CX20 Slipper Misfit ship and accidentally deleted it without any way to reclaim it.

Destiny fans have been asking for ways to store loot since Destiny first released. While more vault space has always been helpful, it wasn’t until The Taken King introduced kiosks in 2015 that players could safely discard loot for more space without the fear of it being gone forever. Bungie upped the ante in Destiny 2: Forsaken with the introduction of the Collections kiosk which stores a record of all gear, weapons, ships, sparrows, shaders, emblems, ghost shells, and more.

For collectors out there, now might be one of the only chances players will have to get their hand on this rare ship for the foreseeable future as there’s no way to tell when it'll next appear in Amanda Holliday’s inventory. Otherwise, jump back into Destiny 2 to pickup Outbreak Perfected, the new Exotic Pulse Rifle reimagined from Destiny 1.

Destiny is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
