Those who have played Destiny's Wrath of the Machine raid will recognize this cosplay of that raid's final boss, Aksis. It's an impressively large and complex cosplay, complete with multiple legs and lighting effects.

Its creator goes by Spartan Jenzii online, a cosplayer named Jennifer from Sydney, Australia. Watch her Aksis cosplay in the video below.

This costume has been at least five months in the making, with the first post showing off the very early stages of the Destiny build going back as far a December 2016. Now that the costume is complete, Spartan Jenzii says next she will work on creating Aksis's gun to fully finish the cosplay.

There has been some extraordinary examples of Destiny cosplay in the past, which usually are Guardians like this Exo Hunter, but this Aksis cosplay is one of the bigger builds we've seen based on the sci-fi shooter.

Aksis first showed up in Destiny in the Rise of Iron expansion that launched last September. In that expansion, the story centers around the Fallen resurrecting an old technological virus called SIVA and using it to splice into their own DNA to become a new enemy force called the Devil Splicers. Those who complete the Wrath of the Machine raid find out that at the heart of the SIVA outbreak is Aksis, a giant spider-like machine.

Spartan Jenzii did a great job replicating the signature red SIVA tendrils that protrude from Aksis as well as the lights and layers of detail of that boss. Spartan Jenzii says on Facebook that she's planning on cosplaying with Aksis at the Supanova Comic Con & Gaming con in Sydney next month.

With Destiny 2 on the horizon, and Bungie and Activision hoping to further extend the game's fanbase, there's sure to be no shortage of more cosplay in the future. And if there's more builds like this, they are sure to be a sight to behold.

Destiny is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
