This was a big year for Bungie and Destiny as a franchise, considering there were multiple huge anniversaries to celebrate. For starters, Bungie was founded all the way back in 1991 on July 7, marking this year as the 30th since then, making it a perfect occasion for the developer to celebrate the milestone within Destiny 2. Destiny launched 7 years ago, in 2014, whereas Destiny 2 launched three years after that, in 2017.

For all these reasons, Destiny 2's 30th Anniversary Pack is a great way to commemorate all of Bungie's work over all these years. The developer is known for its work on titles like Pathways Into Darkness, Myth, and Marathon, but also for being the company that changed the history of gaming with Halo: Combat Evolved and all its sequels, now handed over to 343 Industries. As for Destiny 2, Bungie did an incredible job with the 30th Anniversary Pack's contents - namely, the Dares of Eternity 6-player activity and the 3-player Dungeon called Grasp of Avarice.

The Grasp of Avarice Dungeon is part of the paid contents of the DLC, but it's well worth the price tag due to how engaging and fun it is, and it allows Destiny 2 players to also grab the Exotic Gjallarhorn and a new type of armor. Gjallarhorn is one of the most iconic weapons in the franchise, if not the most, making it a great addition to Destiny 2 after all the years of glory in the original game. However, a true highlight for build customization in the game is Grasp of Avarice's Artifice Armor: pieces of armor that roll with an additional mod slot for artifact mods exclusively.

In response to a player's questions regarding what the Adept gear from the Dungeon was, considering there are no Adept weapons in Grasp of Avarice as they would be in Grandmaster Nightfalls or Trials of Osiris, came Bungie's community manager dmg04. This time around, Bungie opted for a different take on Adept gear, providing players with Artifice Armor in order to improve build diversity and customization in Destiny 2.

It's worth noting that Artifice Armor is only available in Grasp of Avarice's Master mode, though, which makes it more challenging - but much more rewarding. Destiny 2 players complained about Season 15's Legend seasonal activities and their lack of rewards, but the 30th Anniversary Pack more than makes up for that with Grasp of Avarice and Dares of Eternity.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
