Destiny 2 is a massive game played by many people, and it constantly adds more content via the seasonal model and the weekly updates, as well as reworks of game modes and loot. This year marked the seventh anniversary for the franchise as a whole, as the first installment of Bungie's space magic series launched in 2014. The company celebrated Destiny 2's success at the August streaming session while revealing The Witch Queen expansion, further emphasizing the importance of players' journeys.

Destiny and Destiny 2 were always a great way for players to unite and play together, making friends along the way. This aspect was celebrated too back in August, with Bungie sharing several clips of people telling the story behind their love for Destiny 2 and what made it special. Some players met lifelong friends, others found support and someone they could talk to, and some others even found love.

Such is the case for a lucky couple of Guardians who, on Twitter, got a message from Lance Reddick himself to celebrate their upcoming baby. The wife, a Twitter user by the name of @bee____sea discovered they were pregnant, and since the couple plays Destiny 2 together, bee____sea decided to ask Commander Zavala to debrief the husband about the situation and future missions. Reddick delivered a perfect Zavala speech in which he announced that Guardian David, bee____sea's husband, needs to get some sleep before the baby is born, since after that it won't be possible to for the next two years.

The wife also later shared their partner's reaction in another Twitter post, making the whole reveal more wholesome. The husband replied to Reddick himself with their Twitter account, under the name of Unsainted13, stating how the actor's message was the best way to find out about the pregnancy. There were also several genuine congratulations comments under Reddick's message, and a few Destiny 2 jokes and memes found their place as well, much to the amusement of the new parents.

This lovely exchange goes to show how much of an impact games like Destiny 2 can have on players' lives, becoming a lifelong passion. As such, it doesn't come as a surprise that some players go to great lengths to have some unique memories of their time in the game, much like the fan who used a 3D printer to make a real-life Whisper of the Worm.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
