As fans already know, it was a big week for Bungie as they revealed the newest expansion for Destiny 2 called Shadowkeep, the direction the franchise will be going, moving to Steam on PC, as well as a new free-to-play package called New Light.

Earlier in the week, current Destiny 2 players were welcomed to the final season inside of the Annual Pass called Season of Opulence. The expansion brought plenty of new content and gear to discover as well as a new wave based PvE mode called The Menagerie, which the fanbase has quickly taken to.

With a lot of new content to look forward to on the horizon, Xur has returned for the weekend in Destiny 2 with an all-new inventory of exotics for players to purchase. Here's where players can find Xur, get details on his Invitation of the Nine quest, and discover which exotic items are on offer for the weekend of June 7, 2019.

Where is Xur?

Taking a break from the Tower Hangar this weekend, Xur is actually on Nessus riding Calus' golden barge which appeared as part of the Season of Opulence.

For those who have not seen it yet, fast travel to Watcher's Grave on Nessus. After loading in, the barge will be straight ahead, so climb a rock and up the ramp to step on to the barge.

Invitation of the Nine Quest

The weekly Invitation of the Nine quest remains stuck on The World. For players who have yet to start it, The World takes them back to the European Dead Zone for this week's activity.

Here are the details:

  • The World - Collect 9 samples from Taken, Cabal, and Fallen. Complete the Lake of Shadows Strike.

Class Armor

This week, Xur has one Forsaken exotic with him and it's for the Hunters. For Warlocks and Titans, there's always the Fated Engram which has a great chance unlock an exotic from the Forsaken expansion.

This week also marks the start of truly randomized perks for the exotic armor with some never before seen on Xur armor before. Here are all three gear pieces for this weekend:

Karnstein Armlets - Warlock gauntlets

A strong Warlock exotic item, the Karnstein Armlets essentially gives the player added survivability thanks to its exotic perk. Upon a melee kill, Vampire’s Caress restores a large portion of health while also continuing to restore health for a short duration afterward. With this armor, all Warlock subclasses can experience was Devourlocks made popular.

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it’s a very strong item in PvE situations and activities like Gambit, Escalation Protocol, or Blind Well where there are large groups of enemies to overcome.

Gear Rolls:

  • Resilience OR Mobility
  • Linear Fusion Rifle Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, Momentum Transfer
  • Linear Fusion Rifle Scavenger OR Rocket Launcher Scavenger

The Sixth Coyote - Hunter chest armor

New to Xur is the Forsaken exotic known as The Sixth Coyote. This Hunter chest armor comes with the Double Dodge intrinsic perk which basically gives players a second dodge. The nice thing about this exotic is that it's not dependent on any particular subclass and is a viable option for all subclasses.

While the perk may not be particularly flashy or unique, getting a second dodge is pretty useful in all game modes of Destiny 2. With Marksman's Dodge, players would be able to automatically reload their weapons twice or refresh their melee ability twice with Gambler's Dodge.

Gear Rolls:

  • Restorative OR Resilience
  • Unflinching Power Aim, Unflinching Light Arms Aim, Unflinching Large Arms Aim
  • Auto Rifle Reserves OR Submachine Gun Reserves

Ashen Wake - Titan gauntlets

These exotics are primarily for fusion grenade users meaning that the Ashen Wake gauntlets are not going to be ideal for most Titan players. Bring the Heat makes fusion grenades explode on impact and gives the player increased throw speed. Fusion grenades were given a buff in August, so the exotics are in a much better state than they were, but Titans do have better choices available to them.

Because of the focus on a single type of grenade, the Ashen Wake gauntlets are very situational and can be skipped.

Fixed Gear Rolls:

  • Restorative OR Resilience
  • Bow Loader, Sniper Rifle Loader, Kinetic Weapon Loader
  • Linear Fusion Rifle Scavenger OR Sniper Rifle Scavenger

Exotic Weapon

Unlike last week, Xur has actually brought an exotic weapon to sell right from the start. Unfortunately, it's the Sweet Business, an auto rifle that is featured quite often. Its perk Payday gives the gun a larger magazine and increased accuracy when firing from the hip. Its secondary perk, Business Time, boosts the range and rate of fire while the trigger is held. In addition, ammo pickups are automatically loaded into the gun.

This is a gun that's solid but not spectacular. There are better exotic weapons out there, but under certain situations, Sweet Business can hold its own. Titans can improve it even further when using Actium War Rigs and a rally barricade which basically generates infinite ammo. Not great in PvP, Sweet Business is a solid choice when clearing PvE enemies or dealing quick damage to bosses.

Here's the complete rundown of Xur's entire stock in Destiny 2 for June 7:

  • Karnstein Armlets (Warlock gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • The Sixth Coyote (Hunter chest armor) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Ashen Wake (Titan gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Sweet Business (Auto Rifle) - 29 Legendary Shards
  • The World - 9 Legendary Shards
  • Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
  • Five of Swords Challenge Card
