Destiny 2 is a massive game that keeps on getting annual expansions like The Witch Queen as well as Seasons, which act as bite-sized content drops to keep players engaged through great narrative and new activities. Because Destiny 2 keeps on growing as a game, Bungie decided to introduce the so-called Destiny Content Vault last November when the Beyond Light expansion was released, which is a way to remove files from the game and reduce the impact of their size. The change was not welcome by all players, seeing how many locations, maps, and activities ended up becoming inaccessible for good.

While the benefits of the Content Vault are not apparent, they are allowing Bungie to work on new content for Destiny 2 like the 30th Anniversary Pack and everything coming in Year 5 with The Witch Queen. However, the upcoming expansion needed extra space once more, and this time players will have to let go of the Forsaken campaign and the Tangled Shore, as well as fan-favorite missions like Harbinger and Presage.

Harbinger and Presage were pinnacle experiences in Destiny 2's Year 4, and they also came with exceptional loot in the form of Hawkmoon and Dead Man's Tale, respectively. Because the weapons are directly tied to the activities being in the game, there will be no way to obtain them unless Bungie adds them to the Exotic Kiosk or in other loot pools. As such, a Reddit user called One_Bar4 shared a post asking Bungie to allow Xur to sell both guns on a weekly basis, which would make sense because both Hawkmoon and Dead Man's Tale come with randomly rolled perks.

Another user believes that the weapons will indeed be added to the Exotic Kiosk, and maybe force players to purchase them again and again until they get the roll they desire. This is an unlikely option because it would take away the farming for other weapons. Still, Bungie said there will be ways for Destiny 2 players to acquire the guns in The Witch Queen, but it's yet unclear what this entails.

In the wake of the news that Destiny 2's Beyond Light and other expansions will leave Game Pass in December, now is the best time to try and acquire Hawkmoon and Dead Man's Tale. Players who haven't completed the quests yet should get started, and those who are looking for a specific roll have a few more weeks before they are gone - at least, for what is currently known.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
