This past week brought about Season of the Lost for Destiny 2 players, not only adding a weath of new content into the popular online shooter, but also a hefty list of fixes and sandbox changes. Some of the updates were expected thanks to Bungie detailing numerous changes in the weeks leading up to Season 15 such as the subclass changes, weapon balancing, and more. However, the season also seems to have brought a number of hidden changes, unreported by the season 15 patch notes as well.

Over the weekend, fans discovered a pleasant surprise with the game's exotic gear vendor Xur. The enigmatic merchant only arrives on the weekend until the weekly reset, typically bringing 1 exotic for each class as well as a weapon. However, at the start of Season 15, Xur brought with him a brand new inventory of legendary gear and weapons in addition to the typical exotics. While this week's armor was the set originally introduced during the Black Armory season, players have discovered that Xur now has access to some interesting weapons.

Using the Destiny 2 light.gg database, Xur's entire potential inventory on a week to week basis can be seen. While it includes the typical exotics that fans have come to expect, his inventory has been considerably expanded in Season 15 thanks to the infusion of Legendary gear and weapons. Surprisingly, included in the potential options each weekend are legacy Trials of Osiris weapons, originally locked behind the end game PvP activity.

Looking through the list, fans have noticed The Summoner, a very popular auto rifle that remains high in use among players. Other Trials weapons include the heavy rocket launcher Tomorrow's Answer and The Scholar scout rifle. Needless to say, this gives players that don't want to take part in the newly renevated and updated Trials of Osiris game mode a chance to own some of the weapons, even if they are the older versions.

Players will also notice Iron Banner weapons included in the list as well. Possible options include Bite of the Fox kinetic sniper rifle, Orewing's Maul energy grenade launcher, The Fool's Remedy side arm, Talons of the Eagle scout rifle, and more. In addition, the Gambit Prime armor and original faction gear can also show up as well.

While fans are pleased with this change to Xur, it isn't the only secret change fans have noticed this season. Many of the major NPCs roaming the Tower seem to have gotten a few updates including the mysterious Drifter. One user compared both character models from the previous season to this new one, noticing that his eyes now have a more realistic sheen to them and his scars have been softened a bit. Similar changes were also made to Ikora and Zavala, smoothing them out and making them look a bit more realistic.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
