Friday is back once again and that means it's time for Xur, Destiny 2's exotic merchant, to return somewhere in the game world with his exotic merchandise. Thankfully, the Year 1 Fated Engram has once again returned, seemingly confirming that the first weekend when it was missing was an unfortunate glitch. Xbox and PC players still looking for the formerly PlayStation exclusive Borealis sniper rifle again have another shot.

Thankfully, Xur has seemingly corrected many of his glitches and inventory issues and isn't offering any items already offered int he previous weeks. The Fated Engram is back once again as well as another very popular and powerful weapon. Here's a rundown on where to find Xur, as well as what he's offering from September 21 until he departs before Destiny 2's weekly reset next week.

Where is Xur?

The new challenge every Friday is discovering where the shifty merchant is in the game world since he's no longer tethered to the Destiny 2 Flashpoint milestone location, and no longer has a big icon displayed on the location map.

This week, players can find Xur hanging out on Nessus in his familiar spot at Watcher's Grave. After loading in, head towards the giant tree towards the right and then climb up. Xur is standing on one of the massive tree branches.

Class Armor

Another week and another set of exotics for players to pick and choose. The exotic class armor this week includes the St0mp-EE5 boots for hunters, Khepri's Horn helm for Titans, and Verity's Brow helm for Warlocks. As expected, each one comes with completely randomized rolls, making them a little more interesting than their year 1 counterparts.

For Hunters all about mobility and movement, it doesn't get much better than the cleverly named St0mp-EE5 exotic boots. The claim to fame on this gear is Hydraulic Boosters, a perk that grants the user increased sprint speed and slide distance. Not only that, it also vastly improves all three of the Hunter jump options: High Jump, Strafe Jump, and Triple Jump. These boots can be critical for platforming heavy missions like the one required to earn Whisper of the Worm.

Titan players can nab Khepri's Horn, which was originally introduced alongside Curse of Osiris. For solar based Titans, the helm is very strong and super charges the barricade ability. Solar Rampart recharges the Titan players barricade after a solar kill which then fires a solar blast when summoned. It's a helm that's certainly worth adding for Hammer Titans who don't already have it.

Finally, Warlocks arguably have the least exciting option this week with Verity's Brow. This exotic helm is actually awarded to all players upon completion of the Warmind campaign, so the real draw here are the randomized rolls. It's exotic perk is called The Fourth Magic, which causes energy weapon kills to boost grenade energy for the player and any nearby enemies.

Exotic Weapon

Another hand cannon is up for grabs this week, though unlike the solar oriented Sunshot, this week offers the powerful three burst Crimson. While traditional hand cannons are only able to fire one shot at a time, Crimson's unique perk enables it to fire a three round burst. In addition, kills with the weapon heal the player and headshots also refill the magazine.

Even though Bungie just recently made the Cayde's Will exotic quest much easier, Crimson is definitely worth picking up for all instances of the game for the randomized rolls and its Intrinsic and Exotic perks. Being able to heal the player as well as refill ammo can mean the difference between life and death in a firefight.

Here's the complete rundown of Xur's entire stock for Sept 21:

  • Khepri's Horn (Titan helmet) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • St0mp-EE5 (Hunter boots) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Verity's Brow (Warlock helmet) – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Crimson (Hand Cannon) – 29 Legendary Shards
  • Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
  • Five of Swords Challenge Card
