Another week and another whole batch of fresh Destiny 2 news to help hype the fanbase prior to the launch of Witch Queen. While it may not top the shocking news of Sony acquiring Bungie for $3.6 billion, fans got tons of new insight into the upcoming content through a new ViDoc video as well as the season 16 name of Season of the Risen. The 13 minute video breaks down everything from the upcoming story, the new Thone World destination, and much more.

Bungie also released a lengthy blog post looking at the overhauled Void subclasses for Hunter, Titan, and Warlocks. Dubbed Void 3.0, the sunclass is adopting the Fragments and Aspects style introduced in Beyond Light for Stasis. Players will now have more customization and control over their builds, able to apply the aspects and fragments which best suit their playstyle. In addition, Bungie has tweaked and updated the majority of the super abilities, providing a bit more versatility.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Buffing a Ton of Exotics in Witch Queen

With only a short amount of time left before Witch Queen, Destiny 2 players can get a jump on their loot by visiting the exotic merchant Xur this weekend. As always, follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic gear he's brought for the weekend of February 11, 2022.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, Destiny 2 players can find Xur hanging out in his favorite tree on Nessus.

From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher's Grave. Once loaded in, run forward until the zone opens up. Continue to the back of the zone where a massive tree can be seen. Climb up and Xur will be standing on a large branch.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

In Season of the Lost, Xur's role has expanded as the exotic merchant has weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.

With Season 15, Xur is now selling even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Better yet, the stat rolls are pretty solid on the Black Armor gear for this week.

Exotic Armor

Winter's Guile - Warlock helmet

While this item isn’t subclass specific, it pairs pretty well with Voidwalkers who run Attunement of Hunger. The exotic perk is known as Warlord’s Sigil which increases the player’s melee damage each time an enemy is eliminated by a melee strike. It’s not the most interesting of exotics out there, but it can have its moments of being fairly powerful in PvE and at times in Crucible.

The nice thing about this particular piece of gear is that it comes with Impact Induction, which feeds right back into Warlord’s Sigil. The roll this week is a bit odd as it features two very high values in Recovery and Intellect, with 4 very low stat values. With only a total of 61 and the item not being a great exotic, this can be passed on this week.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +2
  • Resilience +2
  • Recovery +27
  • Discipline +2
  • Intellect +26
  • Strength +2

Lucky Raspberry - Hunter chest armor

A classic exotic item from the base version of Destiny 2, the Lucky Raspberry remains a somewhat underwhelming exotic. This item specifically targets arc-bolt users, so they can be safely ignored for everyone else. Through the Probability Matrix perk, Arc Bolt grenades have increased chaining capabilities and also have a chance to recharge each time it deals damage. A full chain always recharges.

Naturally, this exotic offers zero value for players not using arc bolt grenades, so it remains pretty situational. Ultimately, there are better options available so this is another item players can pass on.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +17
  • Resilience +15
  • Recovery +2
  • Discipline +16
  • Intellect +11
  • Strength +2

Mask of the Quiet One - Titan helmet

Mask of the Quiet One is back in stock again. This week however has a 65 stat roll, which is pretty good and may be worth checking out again.

This is a subclass neutral item, meaning it can be equipped and used with any Titan subclass. It's unique perk is called Dreaded Visage with provides ability energy when the player is damaged. When they're critically damaged, kills regain maximum health. In the current meta, this is a viable option for Titans, though it's worth noting that this item only restores the red bar health and not the shields like the One Eyed Mask. Getting into close range battles, this item will likely shine as it keeps players alive and filled with ability energy. It's a useful item but certainly not required at this point.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +15
  • Resilience +16
  • Recovery +2
  • Discipline +16
  • Intellect +7
  • Strength +9

Exotic Weapon

This week, the pulse rifle known as Graviton Lance is in stock. Black Hole is its exotic perk which gives the second shot of a burst high damage and recoil with no falloff. It synergizes with the Cosmology perk as any kills made with the gun cause enemies to detonate and spawn Void projectiles that track other targets.

After all this time, pulse rifles remain a very strong weapon class in Destiny 2, so this is already a solid weapon. While effective in PvP, this gun really shines when up against multiple enemies for its ability to cause AoE damage.

Additional perks:

  • Hammer Forged Rifling
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Fitted Stock

Here's the complete rundown of Xur's exotic stock in Destiny 2 for February 11, 2022:

  • Lucky Raspberry (Hunter chest armor) – 23 Legendary Shards

  • Graviton Lance (Pulse Rifle) - 29 Legendary Shards
